Trent Green did admirably well with what few regular season snaps he had with the Redskins. The Rams saw promise in him and made the trade. A good comparison would be Matt Schaub doing well for the Falcons for half a season or so and then continuing his okay/pretty good play with his new team.

Damn just saw video of Jamaal Charles making cuts and he looked fast. I thought he was have the toughest time coming back but he looks good from the footage i've seen.

Guess/ thoughts:

they are just doing DL drills and it doesn't really matter. If not 11 on 11 they may want him behind Dorsey who is the most techniqally sound of the DL when it comes to 2gap. Follow him around and watch every thing he does, etc. He's raw when it comes to 2gap so this could be a way of getting him(hopefully) up to speed the fastest.
Any rookie coming into this defense has to learn to beat the double team. In order to do that you have to beat the head up OL first in order to hold the point against the lead and the double team blocker. They can teach that at any of the 3 DL spots, all the same technique and concept.

Be interesting if that continues as things pick up in the next few practices though. Good to hear about Powe too, be a helluva nice dt duo in goaline and short yardage.

I'm not saying MC is going to turn into a Trent Green, but Trent Green was 31 in his 4th season , and it wasn't a very good season....

It isn't completely out of the question that Cassel surpasses some of what Green did in KC (21k yards, 118 TD 85 int, 27 TD in one season (tied already), 87.6 passer rate)

I think your GOD comparison is a bit off...
