Player Comparison: Ryan Mallett/Drew Bledsoe. Just like Bray, Mallett is a pocket passer who has good size with a cannon for an arm. Mallett is a backup quarterback who has only really played in the preseason, so if you want another comparison to draw upon, Bledsoe would work. Bray's style of play is similar to Bledsoe. If things go really well for Bray in his career, I could see him being a quarterback of Bledsoe's caliber.

NFL Matches: Kansas City, Arizona, Buffalo, New York Jets, Oakland, Dallas, New England Obviously the Chiefs, Cardinals and Bills are all in dire need of franchise quarterbacks. If any of those teams pass on the position in the first round, Bray could be one of their targets in Round 2. It also wouldn't be surprising if a team that's desperate feels compelled to trade back into the end of the first round if they fall in love with Bray and absolutely have to have him.
There are a number of teams that could select Bray on the second day of the draft. The Jets have to find a replacement for Mark Sanchez since they wouldn't give Tim Tebow a chance. Oakland needs a long-term starter and could develop Bray behind Carson Palmer for a year or two.

The Cowboys could consider Bray if he falls to the third round. Dallas may want to think of drafting Tony Romo's replacement and giving him some time to develop behind Romo while the Pro Bowler finishes out his career.

New England could target a quarterback if they trade Mallett for a team looking for a young signal-caller who already has had some developmental work in the NFL.

Lose NFC Championship in OT QB isn't as good as lose SB in closing minutes of regulation guy.

Plus, he wasn't benched per se. He got a concussion right smack dab in the middle of the great concussion panic of 2012. Then CK lit things up and didn't look back.

And then after he was cleared to play. Was not taken off the bench.

Don't know which is worse, the lack of awareness of how well CK performed out of the gate, right into the effing SB, or a supposed Chiefs fan who is uninformed of the criticism rained down when backup Gannon with a similar hot hand was sent back the bench the instant starter Grbac was cleared to play.

5) Making the right decision with the ball.

I'm not worried about him b/c I don't expect anything from him. Far too many people are imbuing him with skills he doesn't and won't possess b/c they are so desperate for a QB.
The challenge this year is that you either had QBs with huge physical limitations but a lot between the ears. Then you have guys who have a huge mental learning curve but have a lot of talent. Again, this was just a shitty year to draft a QB.

If anyone ever teaches this kid not to throw off his back foot he could be the real deal.

And to quit throwing beer cans/golf balls onto cars.

When he steps into a throw it is on a rope. Can make all of the throws, but has the worst footwork possible.

Hopefully Chilly/Reid/Pederson can coach the bad habits out of him. And Alvin Bailey should follow him around and beat the shit out of him when he thinks about doing something stupid.

Harbaugh started CK because he an quite a few other people feel he is a once and a generation QB. Not many come along. Comparing people to one another never works. Belichek did it to Bledsoe and its happened many times before. Hell the 49ers did it to Joe Montana even before he was injured Young was one his heels ready to play. This is why CK is in there, has no bearing on if Alex is good or not.

Bray on the otherhand does have questions, the one thing i will say for him is that the Tennessee program was absolutely falling down around him during his time there. That with his antics caused him to fall out of the draft. He does have immense talent. He will be coached accordingly.

I don't know much about the guy. Haven't really seen him play. I've got some research to do for sure.

But based on his Gruden QB Camp alone, I think this guy is a gargantuan idiot. I mean, welcome aboard and all that. I hope he turns it all around and shows me something.

So far, not impressed. But I'll do more research.

It should be noted that Tennessee's program was in shambles and had ultra inept HC in Dooley

Bray is as football dumb as they come. So all SCREAMING for the Chiefs to get their rookie Developmental QB can stop complaining...However, KC probably needs to start his development with buulding blocks and Legos...
