Veach wanted Za’Darius Smith a couple years ago. If Omenihu gets overpaid or refuses to work with us, he could be an option at a lower price point.

18 sacks and 27 QB hits the last 2 seasons. Could be a nice vet for a draft pick to learn from like Carlos Dunlap was for George Karlaftis.

They'll almost certainly use him more regularly and effectively than we did. A reasonable designated pass-rusher on a cheap deal. I know he's not a classic Spags DE but I'm still disappointed in how little he was used.
