Ok here we go.
Jacob is now in Sayid. For some reason that I have yet to determine, Jacob knew he had to die. That's why he let Ben kill him by acting like he didn't know who he was. He also knew that Sayid was going to die that's why he had him taken to the temple. The note to the Japanese dude supposedly said that Sayid needed to live but that was only so the Temple people wouldn't kill the Losties. The water wasn't clear and it couldn't heal because Jacob was dead. So Jacob got the Losties safely to the temple and got his new body by tricking the Japanese dude. Obviously the Japanese guy doesn't know everything because he didn't know that Jacob was dead when the water wasn't clear. Also that's why in the note it said that Sayid was extremely important. Following up on the Jacob not knowing Ben thing, it's become clear that Jacob knows everything that happens on the island because he knew about Jin and the Frenchies at the temple walls. |

Can I make a request that no spoiler info from any future episodes makes its way into this thread, spoiler tags or not?
I thought you were using the spoiler tag for the benefit of people who didnt watch tonights episode yet. I dont think spoilers for future episodes have any place in this thread. |

Its better if your not caught up to avoid the thread. How can we discuss current story lines and all have them in spoiler tags?
Get caught up and then come post I agree with future/inside/speculative info being in spoiler tags.

Whose body did the smoke monster inhabit before Locke?
Is it current time on the island?

Well people, here is some simple evidence that the first episode gave us to debunk any of these theories. Flocke/smoke monster was NOT taking over Locke's body, he was using the image of it (Locke's body is currently laying on the beach ). This can be applied to ANY situation. Alex's body was dead on the Island, but her IMAGE was reproduced by the smoke monster to scare Ben. When Mr. Eko saw Yemi on the Island, it was his IMAGE...not actually him since his body was in the plane. Applying this precedent to the current situation, we have seen Sayid's body laying by this mystical pool of water the whole time. When or IF Sayid wakes up, that is SAYID waking up since it is HIS body, NOT someone possessing his body.. |

Great episode last night. It only took me 30 minutes of the episode to say "Ok, I'm lost already". The two "realities" threw me off at first. I thought it was more of a "dream" type deal until dead Juliet said "It worked" - then I realized that it was two separate realities, although I'm not quite sure how it all works. One other odd thing from the beginning was Desmond - why was he on the plane? Since everything changed, he was never on the island to push the button, but why was he going to LA? |

Just a quick thought...I know that Locke at one point came face-to-face with the smoke monster. Didn't Sayid come face-to-face with it also in the past? Weren't they the only two who came face-to-face with it and lived?
