It's not a secret why the SEC added mizzou and ATM. Why add teams like Texas, Kansas and OU?

You wouldn't want to risk adding teams that you'd lose to.

Funny...all three of those teams were in line for a national title in football until Alabama, Mizzou, and Florida/LSU took them out.

Of course, Kentucky took out Kansas on the hardwood too so...yeah.

You know what's funny about that comment? I don't think you're just flinging shit - I think you actually wholeheartedly believe that. Scary.

Hmm, I wonder if Bambi's favorite statistic is tortured at all?

Quote:
Missouri's wins against teams from major conferences and that team's final conference record:

2012 - Arizona State (5-4, PAC-12), Kentucky (0-8), and Tennessee (1-7).
2013 - Indiana (3-5, B1G), Vanderbilt (4-4), Georgia (5-3), Florida (3-5), Tennessee (2-6), Kentucky (0-8), Ole Miss (3-5), Texas A&M (4-4), Oklahoma State (7-2, Big X).
2014 - South Carolina (3-5), Florida (4-4), Vanderbilt (0-8), Kentucky (2-6), Texas A&M (3-5), Tennessee (3-5), Arkansas (2-6), Minnesota (5-3).
So, Missouri has beaten 7 teams who were even or better in conference play since joining the SEC.

To get "2-20", we have to add in Texas A&M, subtract non-conference games against other major conference opponents, subtract the bowl wins, and subtract all the teams that finished 4-4 in conference play, knowing that with an 8 game conference slate a 4-4 finish will be pretty common.

Pretty impressive - you might have a future in book-cooking.

It's the kind of stat that ESPN loves.

If they lost to the 4-4 teams, those guys would have winning records. It's truly a dumb stat the twin morons love to lie about.

It's rather humorous that after bragging about the SEC prowess and denigrating the other P5 conferences.......MizzouFan explains the SEC 1-10 by scrambling to list MU wins over mid level non-SEC programs. Those leagues all suck. Except when you beat their teams.

Cause this is what we're talking about. KU has 0 wins against teams with winning record in conf. MU has 1.

To anyone who matter in CFB the schools are identical.

Sucks for you cause most of us think KU is down right now.

Kansas has no such wins since 2008.

If you include wins over .500 teams, that number doubles to zero.

If you include wins over teams who were only one game below .500, that number again doubles to zero.

I have seen that nonsense it pass under my eyes several times in this thread and couldn't bother to actually fact-check it.

---

Another interesting bit is wins over teams that played in bowls that year:

Quote:
Missouri wins vs bowl-eligible opponents:

2012 - Arizona State, UCF
2013 - Vanderbilt, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State
2014 - UCF, South Carolina, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Minnesota
Missouri has beaten 14 teams since joining the SEC that played in bowl games that season.

Quote:
Kansas wins vs bowl-eligible opponents:

2012 - (none)
2013 - (none)
2014 - Central Michigan
KU has beaten 1 bowl-eligible team in that span - the Central Michigan Chippewas of the MAC. Nice work, beakers.

So in this column anyway, it's not a total shutout.
