True, but you also get to play KU each year, which is the equivalent of scheduling another UNI/Tulsa/NIU every year.

That is epically stupid. They're the best team in the state of Texas; they should start acting like it.

Sorry, was just quoting RustShack from above. No offense intended against UNI.

I was bored at work and wondered how Kyle Field got it's name so I looked it up on wikipedia.

In the fall of 1904, Edwin Jackson Kyle, an 1899 graduate of Texas A&M and professor of horticulture, was named president of the General Athletics Association. Kyle wanted to secure and develop an athletic field to promote the school's athletics. Texas A&M was unwilling to provide funds, so Kyle fenced off a section of the southwest corner of campus that had been assigned to him for agricultural use. Using $650 of his own money, he purchased a covered grandstand from the Bryan fairgrounds and built wooden bleachers to raise the seating capacity to 500 people.
Kind of a Texas thing to do, the state not the Uni.

It's so cute when Iowa State and Mizzou football fans talk smack on a school they couldn't even beat consistently over ~100 years of play. It's kinda like a Chiefs fan talking smack on a Chargers fan. I mean, what's the point?

So back to my earlier thesis on Mizzou's honest conflict with Michael Sam - their entire messageboard today is chock full of arguments over Sam and homosexuality. I.e.
http://tigerboard.com/boards/missour...ssage=11904204

MU fans have put a "happy face" on Sam's story, and you've seen it here on CP and on Facebook etc. But in truth they're conflicted because that's who they are. For the 50+ aged segment of their fanbase, this guy's constant media appearances and licking cake of his boyfriend's face are absolutely going over like a pregnant pole vaulter.

Constant media appearances? That's quite an exaggeration.

I leave the country, this thread stays the same:

Bambi and Bitch being idiots.

Side note: Sheldon Richardson, the NFL defensive rookie of the year (which goes to the best defensive rookie, regardless of position, last time I checked) plays 34 DE, not defensive tackle.

I think it's interesting that a couple of pretty openly anti-gay dudes on this thread have blown what ACTUALLY happened so out of the water. it's almost as if you have imagined, for some strange and mysterious reason, things that Sam and his boyfriend did after his selection. One guy keeps calling these kisses "foreplay," and now you imagining Sam "licking" cake off another man's face.

It's a little strange how you guys are working so hard to imagine actually MORE gay than there was, considering your vehement disapproval of the gay.
