Curious to see if we have any other athletes out here.

I don't have a stopwatch. Maybe I should see if one of my friends does and get some jackass to time me.

There's been claims of people lying and exaggerating, of coaches lying and exaggerating and all kinds of other bullshit thrown around in this thread but I've yet to see even ONE person equate a hand-time 40 to a laser-timed 40.

More proof that you aren't paying attention or that you have a learning and reading disorder.

What I've stated over and over again is that straight line speed is not indicative of a football player's ability.

What I've actually stated is if you match two guys with equal speed and one goes on to have success against other evenly matched players, the timing is pretty damn accurate, laser-tested or not.

I played football with a guy that ran sub 4:45 40. He couldn't play football worth a crap, ended up with a track scholarship at Florida State. Straight line speed means little if you don't have the other aspects, see the Oakland Raiders drafting practices.
