How ironic that SI comes out this week with an article on fans. They had the top fans from all four sports in various categories.

Toughest Fans: Bucs
Loudest Fans: Chiefs
Scariest Fans: Raiders
Most Knowledgeable: Packers
Stupidest Fans: Raiders
Best Groupies: Dolphins
Most Loyal: Packers

Also, there was a quote in the article:

"Those idiots in Kansas City dont know when to shut up. They yell even when the Chiefs have the ball. Thats how stupid they are"

How about that? I thought for a second that I was reading my work on the Chiefs Planet!

I know what some of the "brighter" fans will say on here: "Sports Illustrated doesnt know what they are talking about" Unless its something positive about the Chiefs, it isnt valid.

Just remember that this is the same magazine that picked the Chiefs to finish in fourth place this year. I think they know the Chiefs and their fans as well as I do.

Stevieray,

I think you hit on the relevant fact, smart can be judged by the fan base intelligence quotient.

Example a dog (basically LCD on IQ scale) is considered extremely smart if it rolls over and sits up on request.

Likewise, if a Packer fan can avoid pissing his pants when they score, find the stadium, and earn enough money to buy football tickets . Then based on the intelligence that would find them paying $200 a pop for worthless stock, and going to a game with no value in subzero weather makes them the smartest on a relative scale. You know IQ around that of a dog.

Certainly, Dawson is more knowlegeable about football than the sportswriter SI hired to pen this article. If he said GB has the most loyal fans, then I could take his word over some unheard of anonymous writer.....

Actually, Packfan, I did KNOW how bad Bono was going to be. I've been on the West Coast (LA-area) for 18 years now and followed what's happening with the teams. Bono, though not a loser, had never endeared himself to the fans nor proved himself of the caliber of Joe Montana or Steve Young.

When he went to KC I figured he would flop because he had a really bad attitude and thought he was God's gift to the Midwest.

Don't talk about things you don't know about Packfan. I've been an avid football and Chiefs fan for more than 35 years.

All you show is that you don't know squat about Bono or football...

Packfan,

I see you remain scared to engage me in a debate. Is it because you have the average level IQ of the typical Packer fans just discussed or are you just plain chickenshlt.

Do you guys remember when Dan Deirdorf said "Chief Fans are the best int NFL". It's just a matter of a opinion Ken, you find a sports writer who wrote something negative about the Chiefs. I bet we could find someone in the national media who wrote a positive article on Chief Fans. It's just a matter of opinion
Ken.

I don't think that every seat being full is a direct indicator of who has the most loyal fans. I think for any NFL Team to remain in the same city says to me there is a loyal fan base. For every one person at the game, there are probably three at home watching. And spending. Can you even fathom how many hats, shirts, etc. is out there?

You have to remember it's about the game. Without the game, you don't have players or fans.

Every year you hear Arrowhead is one of the toughest places to play. Chiefs have led attendence the last six years. There is some pride in that. Considering we haven't won a playoff game in seven years...

Ken, since I don't subscribe to the rag - please define for me the terms that are rated. You seem to agree with the article, so feel free to use your definitions:

Toughest:
Loudest:
Scariest:
Most Knowledgeable:
Stupidest:
Best Groupies:
Most Loyal:

I'm sure that Green Bay has the biggest seats and the loudest fans... It's the cheese and bean dip they have during the game...

Let me tell you about Lambeau. First off, there is only one level, which is roughly the size of Arrowhead's lower level. There are no seats, only metal benches. The seat assignments and benches are crammed so tightly that Calista Flockhart could barely fit correctly. I was miserably uncomfortable during the entire game, and the season ticketholder next to me wasn't there, so I had more room that I would have otherwise. I was there for a preseason game - I can't even imagine how all those fat-a$$ cheeseheads cram in there when they're wearing five layers of clothing in December.

Also, one level means one level of concession stands. Even during the game, you wait forever to get anything.

Lovely place. For a wrecking ball.

2 things:
1. Sounds like an Andre Rison quote. Real legitimate source.
2. Once again, Packfool shows off his comlplete ignorance for proper grammar and punctuation.

Packfan, if I didn't know any better, I'd believe that you were really Mike Keck. Just because its in print, it doesn't mean it's the truth. Lets look at CNNSI's predictions for this year.

AFC East--Colts 11-5(probably wrong)
AFC Central--Jacksonville 12-4(currently in 4th)
AFC West--Denver11-5(pretty close, but probably not the winner)
NFC East--Dallas 10-6, Washington 10-6, Cardinals 9-7, Giants & Eagles both 6-10(they totally missed on every team)
NFC Central--Bucs 11-5(close), Bears 9-7(why would anyone predict this), Vikings 8-8
NFC West--Rams 12-4(probably won't even make playoffs),Saints 5-11(right record, but reverse order)

If you want to believe everything you read, then feel free to. But you're better off spouting this garbage about the Packers on Packersplanet.com because us KC fans are lacking the knowledge to understand your infinite wisdom.

Packfan - Why do you care so much what Chiefs fans think or say, or how smart or dumb they are. You obviously are of a higher intellect than all of us are, so why don't you socialize with those on your intellectual level? By the way, nobody from Sports Illustrated ever contacted this Chiefs fan to test my knowledge of the game. I wonder where they got their "facts" from???? I'm sure it was a scientifically valid study.

"...maybe this article will lend some credibility about what I have been saying all along: Chiefs have the loudest fans, Packers have the most loyal."

Not to pick nits, Ken, but in that other thread, only once did you mention "loyal" in reference to Packer fans. I hardly think using the term one time constitutes "saying all along." Unfortunately, in that very same post you made another comment which you have now "proven" wrong with your SI article.

"I already stated that the typical packer fan isnt the brightest, but they are loyal. Maybe its because they dont have rodeos in Green Bay!"

At least you stay in character, Ken. Bob Dole gives you credit for that much.
