To be honest, this is something a dumb annoying seven year old sister would say. But at least they'd have the decency to not write about how they don't give a fluck. Sir, I would bet alot on everyone not giving a fluck if you just stopped posting here. Or, rather, they'd be glad.

Everyone has the right to respond however they wish to Lamar's death, Mr. mac58.

But, this is a little like walking into a wake and taking a piss in the coffin. Some people are rightfully moved by his passing. Here in Nashville, for example, my friends know that I'm a Chiefs fan and I've gotten calls all day expressing condolences. It's affected a lot of people. It's their feelings you might want to consider as well as your own.

I'm glad he's not suffering, but mainly because I've recently lost two close relatives in the same way and I know how difficult it was for them and how much pain they were in.

As for the "delete this thread" responses: Get over yourself.
I think to each his own.....but to post a thread like this is his way of yanking chains IMO.

Am I as despondent as I would be if he were family....no.

But, I was a lucky man to have met him on a couple of occasions. And his accomplishments are something that you admire him for, along with his humility. I thank him for all that he has given by bringing the KC Chiefs to their existence, and the joys that I have had being a fan.

No, I am sad because in a time where millionaires seem to believe that their wealth bestows upon them a sense of being better than the next person, here was a humble man in every sense. He was, what all of us hope to be.

Nobody cares to see Chiefsplanet become your personal diary. You need to have enough sense to keep things to yourself.

Wow... I'm an out of the country fan, and I've only watched them for 13-14 years. I still felt sadness today. The Chiefs wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. I wish I had met Lamar before he passed, and I wish they could have one the big one for him one last time. Sadly it wasn't meant to be.. RIP Lamar.

mac58. you are pretty shallow to actually start a thread about this at this time. I have shed no tears, but I am still saddened by the loss of Lamar Hunt, the man behind one of my favorite sports team and a class act to boot. Being a Chiefs fan like you claim, you should have kept your East Coast smugness to yourself and let the rest of us mourn with dignity while not sacrificing your integrity in the process.

There's folks with land mines in their back yards that didn't care about Princess Di, too.
