Music soon to mature......
So long BSB! Glad they'll be gone. I mean.......come on, I've had enough of these teenie boppers and hip-hoppers. In my opinion pop/hip-hop and most all of the stuff you will hear on MTV is a commercial product......the "if something works mock it" attitude gets me because once one band jumps out, everything after it lacks originallity. Did they forget that music is about expression? I'm so glad to see that the teenie-bopper and hip-hop/rap music is ever so slowly fading and making way for modern rock and metal. But now that alot of the stuff I listen to makes the radio and even MTV(hate to admit that) I feel conformed as my peers start listening to MY music! I usually listen to the hits a few months before the cd is even release and before it is released to air play via online downloading services and music sites telling me of the coming releases months ahead of time. Alot of it is trial and error, I download everything and see if I like it.....if I don't it gets deleted....this must be hell on my dial-up modem. I even had some of my follower friends listen to Linkin' Park, Disturbed, Mudvayne, and other such bands two summers ago before they were known talent and they blew it off saying it wasn't their kind of music.....but now, it has hit the radio and MTV and they think its the coolest thing since sliced bread......damn posers! They come up to me and say......have you heard such and such a song by so and so? And I just shake my head and walk away because I now feel like a follower.....though I know I am now a trend-setter.
