Honestly, I'm not sure. People were upset with Norm. Mizzou wanted one of those young promising assistants you always hear about. The "sexy" pick, instead of a good old fashioned basketball coach. I guess after so many years with Norm, they were tired of "old fashioned".

It was obviously a huge mistake. We're still trying to dig out of that hole.

I don't remember it and I have followed his career from OSU to Kansas to Oral Roberts to Tulsa to Illnois to Kansas again. He has always said Kansas is his dream job. That is why I can't see him taking the Missouri job. It would be very tough to go to Kansas from there.
