I really can't stand Calipari. He just strikes me as obscenely arrogant even while he's telling us "we don't care if we get a 1 or 2 seed, we just want to play." He struck me as a sore loser in the final last year. I could be wrong... but the guy just rubs me the wrong way.

MU..... please beat the living #*@$*#! out of Memphis. Send them home to watch the rest of the tourney like the little bitches they are.

Yes and no. Oklahoma got more publicity, and I am sure KU would have too if they did not lose just about all their team from last year. Anyway, **** publicity, its about recruiting. Unfortunately, the two are somewhat tied together.

The "defending national champ" line has definitely caused KU to get more play throughout the year.

Fans probably don't see it as much because they're already in tits deep.

Oklahoma got publicity due to talent - see Blake Griffin. That is one way you get publicity as stated in my previous post. KU got the publicity anyway and that's because we won last year, it has nothing to do with us being in the B12.

No one gets props just for being in a conference. But, the fact that the Big 12 went 6-0 the first day, and that OSU gave Pitt all they could handle, and having 3 teams in the sweet 16 has not gone unnoticed nationally.

Conference? Meh. Tough b/c KU basically lost its entire team. If more pieces returned, I bet the national spotlight would have been far brighter, and the conference would have seen ancillary benefits.

Your team has to have the stamina to make it that far. If they couldn't manhandle the 12 tourney, what makes you think they're headed to the Final Four, much less a Championship?
