"The Who" perform at halftime?

Although I am a huge 'classic rock fan' I never have been much of a 'Who fan' music wise.

I realize that the baby boomers are still the largest generation to appease along with the "Timberlake/Jackson" sexual assault show debacle a few yrs back and why the NFL just decided to stay with the "safe classic rock standards" for now.

But I am surprised that "The Who" were chosen because of the Pete "Child Porn" Townsend controversy. Considering how Gooddell and the NFL supposedly want a 'squeeky clean' image (except of course 'their own players'

Daltry's voice is gone and Pete will play to (if not with) the children.
