How much would you give for Barkley or Griffin?

I know there has been a lot of talk about those two Qb prospects but I thought it might be a good idea to make a poll to know just how much Chiefs fans really want to draft a top QB prospect in 2012.

I am one of those who believe this team is more or less an above-average QB away from being possibly a contender every year.

Let's say the Chiefs have around the 10th pick in the upcoming draft and need to trade up 5 spots to pick before both the Redskins and the Dolphins who will likely draft the best QB available at their spot.

How much would you be willing to offer to make sure you have the chance to draft either Griffin III or Barkley?

BTW, I am not talking about Luck here because I personnally don't think there is any chance the Colts will trade the pick.

Sure. It's going to take some doing to move up, but if you're going with a n00b QB you keep Bowe 11 times out of 10.
I really really wish I could understand why Chiefs fans are so reluctant to trade one of their most valuable pieces that has the least amount of impact on a game.

Bowe is 13th in rec, 14th in yards, and 37th in TD's...

Would you take Welker over Bowe? **** no.

But Welker is 1st in rec, 1st in yards, T-5th in TD's... Why? Because he has a NFL QB throwing to him.

You think Bowe has the least amount of impact on the game? Particularly if he has a good QB throwing at him?

Jesus dude. I'm not saying you don't get a QB. I am 100% in favor of getting a good QB. I'm so sick of Cassel, but you have to give your new man something to throw to. I'm so ****ing sick of running douchebags in here like Bobby ****ing Wade and Lance Long in here and actually making them part of the gameplan.

Get a new guy, give him the best chance to succeed. That involves keeping Bowe.

1st, 3rd and 4th. Doesn't make sense to trade your draft away and not surround that QB with as much talent as you can. This team still needs RT, NT and depth on defense. We should probably go to the FA market for the RT and look to get the depth an NT in the draft.

You just said it right there...

Bowe needs a QB.

How much impact did Bowe have in the playoffs against the Ravens? 0 catches.

Sorry, the Chiefs will be drafting a very high quality RT in the first

Pretty simplistic. Welker is a talent who has flourished with Brady. But they also have a lot of weapons to open the field for him. Brady was good earlier in his career with few weapons. He's elite with weapons. Larry Fitzgerald doesn't have an elite QB throwing to him nor does Brandon Marshall. How do you think Cam Newton would be doing if Carolina had traded Steve Smith?

It is simple. QB > WR. Doesn't get much simpler than that.

How do you think Steve Smith would be doing if Carolina didn't draft Cam Newton? He was considered washed up.

With the first round selection in the 2012 NFL draft the Oakland Raiders select T.Y. Hilton Florida International.

Quarterbacks still have to have targets. Steve Smith was washed up because Jimmy Clausen couldn't throw to him. Bet Bradford wishes he had some targets to throw to.

So you mean a WR cant do shit without a QB? Interesting.

In case you are too blind to see the point... Good QB's elevate WR's. Good WR's don't elevate bad QB's. The QB is still bad and the team still loses.

Bowe is the best trade chip we have at the least impactful position.

Good QBs elevate good WRs. Teams with good QBs still look for weapons. The Patriots added Gronkowski last year to help out Welker. Falcons add Julio Jones when they had Gonzales and White. The Colts added Anthony Gonzales to a defending champion team that had Harrison, Wayne and Clark when they had a horrid defense.
