Wow one game, Orton did a decent job but lets not get carried away with him just yet. He is a retread QB that has failed at two other teams.
He did good job today with playaction pass and leading to 4 frieldgoals and a touchdown drive nice job but we can do better in the draft. I still want to see Stanzi.

There is no way we can get rid of him after seeing his preformance against a quality (understatement I know lol) team...
Although, I do want to see that we draft another qb in the draft.

Definitely, he took #42 and kept him focused away from Pope. He pretty much created that coverage bust with that look off.

From what I've read, it sounds like the big difference Orton made today was hanging in the pocket (or keeping the play alive) when the first option wasn't open or available and going through the entire progression to find the open guy.

It sounds like that why guys like Pope and Blech saw some positive results.

It's amazing what you can do when you are actually able to use "all" the weapons at your disposal.

Exactly. He hit 10 different receivers, used pump fakes, and didn't stare down Bowe/Breaston every play.

He's another Deberg, another Bono, another Elvis.

I don't want another journeyman. I've seen enough of this kind of crap for 40 years. Draft and develop. I jusat cringe at the mileage the front office will try to get out of this win.

you can already feel chiefs fans starting to settle....

year 4 of the rebuild and we're building a superbowl team with Orton?

****ing really?

Palko and Cassel met tonight to polish up their resumes. Cassel with hopes of carrying a clipboard in a #2 spot somewhere next year.... Palko, trying to decide if a Ford or Chevrolet dealership would be better in Pittsburg.

I wanted to draft Orton in 2005, also wanted to trade for him in 2009 to bridge the gap for Sanchez, alas we finally got him. He is a solid starter but not what we need to win the Super Bowl. We still to draft and develop a first rounder to do that. But for the first time since Trent Green played for us in the playoffs against Indianapolis, do we have a legit NFL starter playing for us.

Give Orton a fair two-year deal.
Then go get Griffin, Barkley or Foles.
