Richardson the 6th worst OT over 3 years. Winston the 8th best. Albert 12th, with precious few left tackles ahead of him. ![]() |

Providing Cassel can break the habit of going into the fetal position at the sight of an opposing player.

Albert played better last year ... more like he played his 1st year.
if he continues to play like this nobody is going to be talking about moving him. doesn't mean they were wrong to think about the possibility after he regressed after year 1.

While I'm not a fan of PFF"s 'grading' system, I'm a big fan of the PBE stat they created. It's entirely empirical and that, in my eyes, makes it a very valid stat.
How often a tackle allows a QB to be hit by his man is a pretty good indication of how good he is at pass blocking. |

A left tackle struggled more in a pro style offense than a gimmicky spread offense. Albert didn't regress as much as he was protected by the system we ran in his rookie season. Pass blocking is just easier when the QB is in shotgun. |

still when people watch somebody blow by their left tackle they get nervous, regardless of the system. I still think Haley was a big ball of suck and was part of the problem

No it is not just you, there are a lot of us on that wagon with you. He is going to have to do a lot, with little time, in order to overcome the management predisposition however.

Most of the time he's really solid, but then he'll have games where he can't block ANYONE. |

One pretty terrible 2009 season shouldn't mean shit to a tackle if he's got the tools, the smarts, and the opportunity. There's no other position quite like offensive line in the NFL where determination fused with natural talent can win the day. The guy's an above average LT. He's a kind of jack of all trades master of none, except he does a pretty good job at all the duties you want out of a starting LT. Sac and his other haters really need to admit it- we don't need an elite LT. "Pretty good" will do just fine. Put a real QB behind this offensive line and watch defenses get raped. |

I ejaculate by the gallons when I fantasize about Brees or Rodgers behind this line.

What the hell are you talking about? The Chiefs would still only have a pretty good WR2 in Bowe. The rest of the squad consists of unprovens. /chiefsfootballfan
