How did you end up a CHIEFS fan?

Just curious.

The first NFL game I ever watched was Superbowl XXIV, when the 49ers dismantled, humiliated, embarassed, annihilated, decimated the 55-10. It was a SB party at my uncles house. I instantly became a Joe Montana fan. I thought he was awesome (to this day I still think he's the GOAT) so I followed him. After that Superbowl I had my parents buy me books and shirts of him. Since he retired with KC, I stuck with them ever since and never looked back. And never will. EVER. They can keep breaking my heart every year but that's where this team stays, in my heart. Corny I know but its the truth.

D.T. would be the only reason I could see someone becoming a Chiefs fan on purpose, (other than Granma or Granpa forcing the Chiefs down your throats)

Just because the consensus on this board believes the Chiefs suck balls doesn't mean we're all fans. There are 5 or 6 of us who aren't...
I didn't. It says how did "you" end up a "chiefs" fan. It was directed to those that are chiefs fans.

My Dad when I was 7 in 1990 got me started on it. Dave Kreig, Steve DeBerg, Joe Montana, Marcus Allen, Stephon Paige, Christian Okoye, Barry Word, Dale Carter, Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Percy Snow, Dan Saleamua, Tim Grunhard GOD the early 90's were so ****ing awesome for Chiefs fans. If you were a fan when Christian Okoye was running the rock over people you witnessed the best years to be a Chiefs fan. Old people will say it was the Superbowl years in the 60's but the 90's topped all.

I really liked that combo of Okoye and Word in the 90's. It wasn't as good as Butts and Means or Means and Harmon but they were a powerful duo for sure.
Word had those crazy blue eyes to boot.

Growing up watching the Chiefs in the 90's was great (aside from the playoffs). Watching Arrowhead rocking to the max because of DT and Neil Smith destroying people was awesome. One of the best defense's I've ever seen. We were the Ravens in the 90's. Then in early 2000's I witnessed some of the best offensive teams in the league.

I hope Eric Berry or Jamaal Charles are the heroes that start the next generation like DT was for me.
