Option 2 all the way.

The more detailed you get, the more you sound like asswipe, know-it-all fans.

Stay vague in your demands and you keep more focus on the end game - the "New Hope".

Clark knows the score at this point, as will any football man he brings in to replace Pioli. Don't go getting cute and demanding now.

Facts are facts. We need to draft a 1st rd QB.

In making a cogent argument, and thus attempting to win this argument, "vague" is not a quality that one wants to embrace.

The GM that Clark brings in to replace Pioli is going to understand that. If that GM doesn't, we're ****ed anyway.

So rather than do damage to the underlying message by overstepping our station, continue to stay on message. Again, if I'm Clark and I see banners that are now telling me precisely how to run my team, I edge dangerously close to giving everyone the finger.

Bench Cassel, Fire Pioli is about as "precise" as you can get.

He's allowed the organization, through the likes of Winston and Pioli, to give the fans the finger all year. At this point, I'm not too worried about being delicate.

Banners spark debate, and drafting a QB is exactly what we want buzzing about KC leading up to the draft.

But the second one seems like you are trying to dictate the actions of the future GM without even giving him a chance. I agree, it does seem like "know-it-all" fans are trying to overstep their boundaries.

Stick to the most imminent task at hand. Fire pioli, and a first round QB will come if the new GM is competent.

Option 2 doesn't imply drafting a QB.

You just know a ton of Chiefs fans would love Alex Smith. He would be a NEW QB.

This.

Its been on record that Clark wants to draft and develop a QB.
This banner will not alter anyone's thoughts.... at the most it will reinforce them.

When he was in the process of hiring Pioli, he stated that in an interview.

I don't forget things like that.

Don't care if #2 wins in the poll, you must go with #1. Executive decision.

Don't let these slap dicks at 1 Arrowhead weasel out by interpreting "new" in a broad sense.

The slapdicks at 1 Arrowhead aren't djinns granting SOC a wish but interpreting it like a lawyer. They're going to make the pick they want with only marginal concern over fan satisfaction. If they think they have a better chance of winning with Alex Smith than with Geno Smith, they're going with their football instinct no matter what the SOC banner says.
