So What Would Super Bowl Tickets Cost?...

The Missus just announced she would spring for tickets if the Chiefs were to make it to the Ship, and I told her she was vastly underestimating what it would cost to attend the Super Bowl.

She said it would be a once-in-a-lifetime thing (I guess she she realizes with my health problems, the once in a lifetime thing is not just an expression)...

So, what do you think, Chiefs Hive-Brain?...(I realize it is highly unlikely the Chiefs make it that far, but...)

Although I agree that I think this may be a "once in a lifetime idea" I'm betting on this year's Super Bowl in New York being the greatest live sporting event in the history of mankind.

That being said tickets might be hard to come by.

IF, IF they make it to the Super Bowl, I would have to find a way to get out there. Just to be there with all the stuff going on. From that point, if I was broke and unable to score a ticket, I would gladly find a bar filled with Chiefs fans and enjoy it there.

People who know me are already starting to ask what I'd do if it happened. They ask if I'd go to the church's annual Super Bowl Chili Cookoff.

I wouldn't be able to go to NY if they made it. My only question would be whether or not I would watch it in solitude or have a party. If we made it to the SB and lost....I'd probably legitimately break something in my house. If we won.....I'd still probably break something.

realistically you won't get them from the box office. Plan on spending $3-5K per ticket.

I'd have to watch it alone.

I'd be insufferable win or loss and no one would want to be around me.

More "if I remember..." here--I believe that 17.5% includes all the tickets the team uses--for employees, players' families, sponsors, etc. Then the leftover portion is available by lottery to STH who choose to enter. I don't recall if you have to buy playoff tickets to be eligible. I guess we'll know soon enough...

That's my plan. Living here obviously makes that easier but it would be so sick to see NYC flooded with Chiefs fans.

There's already a bunch here but that would be crazy.

This thread has very bad jinx potential. We should be talking 2014 draft at this point.

I'm hoping for a blizzard in NY for the superbowl.

football should always be played outside, and on grass. Period.
I love the idea of a NY Super Bowl.

I ****ing hate field turf, and domed/retractable roof stadiums.
Your 'turf' should not have a 'sheen' on it from its' light source.
