Doesn't this all just feel like 2011 all over again?

Coming off an unexpected division title, the Chiefs stroll into 2011 and lose to the Bills 41-7, then follow that up with a 45 point loss to Detroit. All of a sudden the reports start coming in that there's major trouble between Pioli and Haley all the way down, and the rest is history.

Any possibility a similar situation is playing out again? I just can't figure out why Reid looked so uninspired on Sunday. If nothing else we know the dude is a competitor. No fire from him at all. I don't know, the similarities are striking enough I figured it was worth posing the question.

It does feel like that, and to add to the similarity, that opening Buffalo game we lost Berry for the season just like we lost DJ, and in the following game at Detroit we lost Charles. So who is it gonna be this Sunday?

Like others have said, it's more like 2012 with the injuries of 2011.

The funny thing about the 2011 season is that we still finished 7-9 and one game away from the playoffs. If the Raiders don't block a Ryan Succop field goal, the Chiefs are in the playoffs, and probably would've beaten the Steelers. That's right, Romeo Crennel would've led the Chiefs to their first playoff win since 1994. That would've made things real interesting.

I see this season going the same way. We'll start off 1-4 or something putrid like that and then we'll manage to build back up close to .500. Just good enough to **** ourselves out of a good pick.

In all honesty it feels closer to 2008 than 2011.

I hope I am wrong, but if this ended up being 2011 (7-9) it would be good news at this point.

I wouldn't consider that good news at all. This club needs an enama, and 7-9 doesn't provide enough jet-spray for the douche-nozzle.

It's everybody's fault except for Alex Smith. Jamaal Charles should be traded.

I totally understand that logic...

I just completely disagree...

I think the more games we win the better, despite getting lower draft picks. I actually buy into the "culture of winning " style arguments.....

DOn't get me wrong, I hear you...I just don't agree on this one. To me I would want to win any and every game possible and see some fight in the hearts of the team.....rather than have a pick a few picks higher.

Theres value at every position, we dont need a 1.1 to win the superbowl or some playoff games.

Anyway just my 2 cents...This has been debated ad nauseum in the 'suck for luck' season.....Its just one of those things that divide people....

I dont care how bad the vibes get...I wont root for us to lose.
