Warner's tenure with the Giants reminds me a good bit of Smith's tenure here. With the added factor that Warner's situation with the Giants got him injured a bunch as well as scrambling for his life to find shitty receivers.

Oh, and that beatdown on his thumb the Chiefs gave him when he was a Ram lingered a bit longer than expected.

Dude is 43 years old and hasn't played football in 5 years. You're out of your mind. He wouldn't be better than Huard. And if the offensive line plays like they have the last few weeks, given his history, he likely wouldn't last long either.

Yeah it is really similar in that Warner averaged 205 ypg for the Giants compared to 259 ypg for his career, who went to SB's before and after his time with the Giants.

Just like Smith who is averaging around 210 ypg for the Chiefs compared to 187 for his career, who will never lead any team to the SB.

Give it a break, he is who he is, which is a very average, pedestrian QB.

You guys vastly overrate yardage. I don't know what tipped the scales so that it became so important to our resident "experts," and it's not unimportant depending on what kind of offense you run, but it seems to be the #1 stat on this board. Go look up Russell Wilson's yardage stats and get back to me.

I'd have to go count it up... but if you take something around the top 25 passing seasons of all time, only one of them won a Super Bowl, IIRC. Just like the myth that passing for 400 yards in a game equals a win, when that's not really true at all.

I never said "anti-correlated," I said it was overrated. Don't twist my words. Even for a lot of those guys you listed, their overall performance wasn't their career best the year they won. Football is a funny game.

Plus defense is way more important than this place will ever give it credit for.
