All hope isn't lost against Cincinnati

Sean Smith is coming back and Andy Dalton has the propensity to shit the bed at the most inopportune times.

As always, you live in a bubble.

There is absolutely no reason to think the Chiefs won't be dogshit this year.

I'm okay with spending my Sundays at the beach or hiking or with friends and family if the Chiefs are going to continue to suck.

Life is too short to waste three hours a week on a franchise that continues to suck and not give a shit about the end product.

Dane thought this team was going 12-4

As for the Bengals, they have one thing we haven't seen yet: a top 5 offensive line.

We're going to need more than 24 points to win, for sure.

Actually, I voted 11-5.

It's clear that 2011-2013 were Smith's outlier years. He's Matt Cassel.

Worse yet, Andy Reid is Romeo Crennel.

It's going to be just as bad as it was in GB. The offense is limited way too much with Alex for me to think we have a legit shot at beating a perennial playoff team on the road. Its just not going to happen.

Right, because we didn't have either of those problems in 2013 or 2014 when we ended up 11-5 and 9-7.

I'm the only damn person who doesn't overreact to every win and loss. I've consistently believed this is a mediocre, .500-ish team held back by a bad coach and QB. And I'm not going to change just because we had one bad game.

And a first round playoff loss in there to sweeten the deal! Nothing says can't beat good teams like a 20+ year playoff win drought!

No, but blowout losses to good teams gets the casual fans(the ones who spend the most money) to realize that we have a lame duck QB and a lame duck coach. The media picks up on that which in turns gets the casual fans even more discontent and it becomes a self sustaining cycle that gets worse and worse until people are run out of town.

Don't look at me. I never said that was good enough - I've never supported Reid or Smith. I am just saying my 8-8 is a hell of a lot more realistic than people's overreactive 4-win and 6-win prediction.

This is Kansas City. This is Andy Reid. Andy Reid is a good enough coach to get this team winning again only to disappoint us in the games that matter. He is NOT a coach who is going to lead us down a disappointing string of losses. And when KC goes over .500, the KC faithful will go back to being homers.

Sorry, but Reid aien't going anywhere. It's wishful thinking, but he's really damn good at being just mediocre enough.
