SNF Broncos @ Raiders Preview

LINK - http://besreport.com/week-9-preview-...ers-no-6-2016/

I know there's no love for either team but this is a game that impacts the division and the Chiefs quest for the divisional lead. I like the Raiders in this one. What say you?

**** em both. In the ass. Dry. Denver is more battle tested so they'll win. I expect to be somewhere in the range of 17-16. Denver will score 10 on turnovers, and Oakland will come up short of the endzone 3 times getting in once. It's going to be that kind of game. OR...Denver will find a way to face rape an Oakland defense that is still pretty suspect to me. That said, I have zero faith in Semen or anyone else not named Sanders or Thomas on that offense.

Oakland is the inferior team, so it would be better to root for them, but I see Denver beating them by 2 scores.

Pretty much.

WE need the Raiders to win.

Won't happen, but it would be nice...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

If Oakland is gonna win they are going to have to step their game up(defense, penalties). Their play so far suggests they can handle roughly the bottom 2/3rds of the league but the top 1/3 is too much for them. KC, Atlanta come to mind. Although I believe the Atlanta game was a back and forth one score loss, but KC handled them fairly easily.

They look like a one and done WC to me.(unless they draw the AFC south winner) Denver on the other hand has already proven they can win with that D with little help from the O so a Denver loss is the best outcome.

Del Rio has never been a big game coach. He had a couple of decent years in Jacksonville thanks to weak schedules, but you could always count on his team losing handily when they played the better teams. He's much like Jeff Fisher is, who always ends up at about 8-8 every year.

I would argue that.

Fisher was always milk-toast in the regular season and balls to the wall in the post season. He'd try or do anything to win.

Del Rio is more like the post Steve McNair version of Fisher. Del Rio was never as successful as Fisher was in the playoffs and isn't as good of a coach IMO, but he would take a lot of the gambles during the regular season that Fisher did in the playoffs. I would guess that his overall regular season record is very close to .500.

As depicted by the data, this is a fairly evenly matched contest but upon closer inspection, things shift a bit in favor of the Raiders winning this game. The Broncos Pass Protection score of 2.20 opens the door for the Raiders defense, led by pass-rushing monstrosity Khalil Mack, to be disruptive and limit the Broncos ability to keep pace with the Raiders offense.

Also, the Raiders have a slight edge in SOS which becomes magnified by them having home field advantage. Therefore, despite the Broncos ranking higher in BES Overall, we expect the Raiders to win this game and take sole of possession of first place in the embattled AFC West.
