So, I am about as left as possible. I don't care what any of you say or think about liberals. No offense meant by that.

I am looking for a new car for my daughter who is a junior at NWMST. I have been looking on Facebook Marketplace, and there are so many cars posted by people with Latino and Middle Eastern sounding last names, and they often have several cars listed, but don't appear to be advertising on behalf of a dealership.

Why? Are these postings legitimate? Maybe I am crazy, but I was just browsing and out of 20 cars I looked at, not a single one was posted by a regular sounding American or European name. There were no Smiths, which is the most common last names in the United States. There were no Johnsons, or Jones, Williams, or Browns, Jacksons, or Andersons, etc. Instead there were Acosta, Hasanin, Mrayyan, Rangel, Valdez, etc. It just strikes me as strange that most of these people also have multiple vehicles listed for sale,without the appearance of being a car dealer.

So, being the left of the middle person that I am, I feel sorta bad about asking this question, like I am judging people by their race based on their last name, but I think Chiefsplanet has a diverse group members with no shortages of opinions, and with knowledge in many different areas.

So, can anyone answer the questions? Since I haven't posted since last year, and haven't visited in a few months, there may be some new protocols I am breaking, or more additions to the lexicon I should be siting. I mean, I just looked through some threads and didn't see a single your and idiot, or antifreeze, or aids tree referenced.

For the tl;rd crowd, why are so many people with foreign sounding names selling multiple cars on Facebook Marketplace?

If it's anything like craigslist, if the price is too good to be true, regardless of race, it's probably a scammer.

Story time yall. So a couple of months ago I saw an xbox one 2 controllers and several games sold by a black guy named Gary Jones. I am in green hills parking lot and this broke ass rolls up in this volvo that looks like it had been rolled twice. He gets out and he has a broken arm. He advertised his xbox in mint condition. It seriously looks like it was microwaved. He said he had forza and a bunch of other new games and the games he had was pure shit. So I said to myself. This guy needs to money obviously. I gave him the 200 dollars and I was like welp thats what you get for doing craigslist st joe. At first the xbox didn't work but I finally got it to work the cords just had shorts in them. One of the loose games was kobe collecters nba 2k17 and there was a random dvd of "the intern" controllers and shit are terrible looking but it works.

I was under the influence of ambîen when I made this post, but the reactions are hilarious. I am not ignorant AF. In all countries and nations around the world, there are surnames that are associated with that specific country or region of the world. So saying "American sounding names" is neither racist or ignorant.

And being a liberal with Raylan Givens as my avatar does not make me a hypocrite. Raylan Givens would always prefer a course of action that did not involve guns if given a choice. And being a liberal doesn't mean that I am anti 2nd Ammendment. Being pro-gun control and believing in the 2nd Ammendment are not mutually exclusive.

Yes, I apparently made a tongue in cheek remark alluding to the idea that being a conservative republican automatically makes a person a racist. If that offended you, well your and idiot, chill out and have some ethylene glycol Gatorade.

I agree, whoever purchased the plywood LED big screen television is an idiot. Why wouldn't you open the damn box?But I wonder what the seller would have done if the buyer insisted on opening the box before handing over the money. That would have been interesting to watch.

This post looks like it was headed in the right direction with your initial approach of laughing it all off, but you veered off course when you abandoned self-deprecation and decided to throw in some defensive criticisms.

I don't think you're a racist and the fact that you besmirched conservatives unintentionally doesn't make me angry, but it does demonstrate a kind of ignorance and arrogance that is common on the left.

you could try the listings at http://www.kcsr.org You will find many honest people from the KC Metro there and they are all car guys. Most will tell you up front the good/bad and what mods the car has if any.
