Cannita Tips

I am looking to go to Canada in the fall. I'm probably going to be bringing $30,000 USD or so with me so I'm a little worried about that. Going to play poker in the Toronto area and maybe Playground near Montreal. Driving across through Detroit/Windsor and then coming back to the USA in Niagra Falls/Buffalo area.

What tips do you have? I'm not planning to declare I have $30,000 in the car but tell them Im just sight seeing for a couple days or something.

How easy is it to exchange like 10k USD for CAD? What does that cost?

You could pay a hooker in advance for a number of sex acts, and then pimp her out once you cross the border under a deal where you get to keep the money.

Also, they'll ask you if you have more than 10k on you at the border crossing and if CBP gets a wild hair up their ass, they'll search your car and find it and then god knows what happens afterwards.

I got pulled in to the border crossing station in Eastport/Kingsgate Idaho for a friendly little 2 hour interview and this was well over a decade ago in less politically tense times.

You could not take any money and then sell your car to a Canadian for $30k cash.

If you want to do it the easy way, I guess you could always wait until it becomes a US state.

Personally with my last experience at the border I wouldn't risk it. But I'm sure the casino can accommodate you somehow if you contact them.

I went snowboarding in Kimberley BC. The little town had a casino with a poker room. Only 1-2, didn't get a chance to play.

All the poker rooms in Canada seem to have insane rake. Like literally 300% the rake as American rooms. Luckily there appears to be poker clubs downtown Toronto and such that are a little more competitive but still very high.
