If we can't get our hands on Luck, Barkley or Griffin...then I would support a trade for Manning while drafting on offensive tackle.

...unless you want to go through the comedy that is Cassleko again next season.

Yeah, but you can't really say he'd be doing that in KC, and he's a young player with room to improve.

I'd feel a lot better about our QB position if we had Freeman on the roster right now and anyone that disagrees is lying.

Freeman did not meet hardly any of the Parcells quarterback pillars.

He came out as a junior.
He did not win 23 games.
As far as I can find, he did not graduate.
He really wasn't even a full three-year starter as he took over the starting role in the sixth week in 2006.

Maybe Parcell's method is antiquated, but it was probably a portion of the criteria Pioli used to assess QBs.

Bill Williamson: I don’t think drafting a quarterback in the first round will be the Chiefs’ first priority. I think they will look at improving both lines first. At this point, it seems like a long shot to me.

only the chiefs do everything arse backwards. Most teams will build around a QB. Nope...not the Chiefs. We'd rather have every other of the positions addressed before we worry about that QB situation.

The experts have been absolutely snowed when it came to the 2010 and 2011 draft. I can't wait for another year of mock drafts projecting us to take an offensive tackle and specifically Riley Reiff given the Pioli-Ferentz connection.

If Pioli doesn't draft Luck or RG3, he may as well tender his resignation for all I care.
