No, you ****ing don't. I don't care if you're at home. I hate this idea that closers at home need to pitch the ninth. A move like that puts WAY too much pressure on an inconsistent offense like ours. All Yost did with this move was have Holland burn nearly 30 pitches and hang a loss on him. Closers need to be brought in to CLOSE, not hold games.

Between that and not pinch running for Billy when he was on first, Yost can eat a steaming shit sammich.

I'm not a Yost basher per se, but it's all true. Yost pissed down his leg and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with those two moves.

Maybe Al or Duncan have a stat showing just how successful making the move to the closer in a tied game in the ninth really is. Just by watching this team, it rarely works.
