New Posters, Lurkers and Noobs...Front and Center.

I'm Iowanian and I'll be your tour guide today Please remain seated at all times while the Tram is moving, and as always, thankyou for visiting Chiefsplanet.....[/nasal crackled speaker recited speach voice]

This issue has been coming up in several recent conversations....that new posters and those who don't post often, don't feel welcome, or comfortable to make comment. The Offseason, when its slow, is as good a time as any, to wade into the pool.

Let me say, that prior to joining the planet(a new start) I was very uncomfortable posting at the star.....because "these internet people seem to know each other". I sort of felt like I was interupting someones conversation at a cafe or something. It took "the mike keck incident" to make me just do the cannonball into the pool. I wasn't comfortable until I had an oportunity for a fresh start, when chiefsplanet came online....and it took awhile after that.

Every poster has a story and a personality. Those who have been here a long time, probably know enough about each other's lives to scare the shit out of all of us....just from accumulation of tidbits through the years.

This is your Oportunity to step forward. Introduce yourself. This is a safe place. Let us get to know you, and if anyone is a prick for no reason on this thread, I'll stick my thumb in their Router.

Enjoy this comlimentary coupon for all newer posters for 1 free oportunity, after reading Iowani-commentary for years-months-weeks to sign the fan book, or tell me I'm an ________________.

Welcome.

I am not sure how long one is a n00b, but I am one. been lurking a long time first post sometime early this year. Met a few of you and so far seems like a good bunch of folk. Looking forward to meeting more in the furture. I grew up in the lenexa area and now reside up north in Liberty. I am an avide chiefs fan/tailgater addict, beer lover, bbq affectionado, golf nut, fishing freak and deer hunter. Basically, a jack of all trades, but master of none. I am a health care professional, father of two, navy veteran, married. lets see, my life in a nutshell. Got hammered on one of my first posts defending pot usage, but pretty much will say what I think. There you have it.

Noob here... been lurking/reading for over a year but just started posting. Chiefs fan from PA, but currently working as an English teacher in South Korea. (Note: live game stream info/post-game torrents are welcomed--no broadcasts here, but blazing fast net speed and willing to seed broadcasts/torrents... )

2500 plus posts are still "noobs", unless you're female. Around these parts, when of the female gender...you're never a noob.

I've lurked on this site for a long time. I guess I've lurked here since 2001 with 20 something posts. I visit several times a week and think this is the best forum out there! When I'm frustrated with roster moves, gameplaning, play calling, draft blunders, general manager, and all the other sh*t that's wrong with this organization....I know I can come here and feel like I'm not alone! I need you guys!

N00b here. I've been lurking for a while, enjoying the comedic relief. I'm a working class slob, single parent of one kid that just started college this year. This has freed up quite a bit of my time, so I'll be here more often in the future. I try to make at least one game a year, and it's more fun taking my kid now then getting hammered like I used to at all games. I've been through all the crap Chiefs teams in the past, and am hyper-critical of current management. Not real fond of the current coaching regime either, cough. I've only posted a few times and got good rep! I'm sure this will go away after another mind numbing defeat. Anyway, you all seem like solid individuals, with a few exceptions, and I look forward to contributing. Oh, and Goatboy seems to catch alot of shit here, as any virgin should, but all I can say is he seems to work his ass off, and I appreciate his posting most of the time. Heres to hoping Huard can keep his osteoperosis in check long enough to win a few more ball games. Go Chiefs!!!
