Chiefs Peyton Manning to visit Denver TONIGHT to meet with Donks - Page 34

Peyton Manning will be in Denver tonight visiting with the Broncos, according to two NFL sources.

This is getting serious, folks.

Manning, arguably the most decorated free agent in NFL history, has the Broncos on his short list. The long-time Indianapolis Colts quarterback was released earlier this week amid concerns about his neck, a $26 million bonus payment and the team's opportunity to select highly prized quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

Manning, 36, has been cleared to throw by his neck specialist, Dr. Robert Watkins. One NFL source said Manning will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins after visiting with the Broncos. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.

The Broncos' top brass of John Elway, coach John Fox and general manager Brian Xanders, are currently in Stillwater, Okla., watching the Oklahoma State Pro Day workout that features quarterback Brandon Weeden.

The Broncos have the No. 25 pick in the draft, plus the 25th selection in the second round. Weeden, who turns 29 in October, is considered the second-best passer to Luck in the draft and has been projected to go between the Broncos' top two picks.

Manning will turn 36 in two weeks.

Elway meets with Weeden yesterday, meets Manning today. Tebow camp is very upset. There is a very good chance Tebow is gone, Manning or not.

This guy is so full of shit i think he is the athan of denver.

I think Polio put too many ways out for the Chiefs in case Manning isn't 100% that Manning decided to just snub us.

If you look at teams, you can find that every team is either in the hunt because it has a shot at him or it was crossed out because it don't fit him for one reason or another. However, for the Chiefs, there is no other reason for Manning to snub us except that we were either too cheap or our front office does not know how to lure a HOF QB to play for us.

Bowlen flies Manning to Denver, and Hunt is talking about another sport in TV.

Do you really think that Manning will give too shits about an owner who does not even take his team seriously?

This is as deflating as it gets.

I dont know. There was rumors about Elway trading tebow to Jax awhile back. He could be gone no matter what.
