With their now being that extra WC spot and everyone being bunched up, there's gonna be alot of executives deluding themselves into thinking they have a shot.

Even with that said, I've never understood why more teams don't sell. Take the Raiders for instance and Josh Jacobs. He's clearly going elsewhere this offseason, so they probably think they could get a 3rd round comp pick. If the Saints beat them this weekend, why wouldn't you try to move him?

The Saints should trade anything that's not bolted down at this point, but I digress.

I know teams don't like to shit on their fanbase and sell because of tickets and blah blah blah.

Why dont' more teams sell though?

Andy speaks like that about a lot of things. That's why when he actually says something with clarity it means deep down he feels really strongly about it. Good example was him telling Collinsworth before the TB game that the oline needed to be much better. That means he was chewing them out in private.

I get "doing right" by a player but usually it's a player who has been great for a team for a while and is a fan and community favorite. It makes no sense to not better your team by getting a draft pick just to make Jerry Hughes happy if you're the Texans.

He says Chubb will get a long term deal that exceeds $20M per year, and Denver could be the team that pays him. No mention of any specific team other than Denver.
