Win loss record and the system he played in are the two biggest detractors for Geno Smiths current draft stock.

After the senior bowl, he will start flying up the boards when the coaches talk about how the kid can run pro style and can take pro coaching with ease and is very smart...then, during the combine interviews he will rise even higher as GMs and coaching staffs put Geno on the board and he straight up WOWs them after showing that his measurables are second to none. Pro days, private workouts.

Geno Smith will be the unquestioned #1 overall player well before the draft.

I think the shitty defense is making him press more than he needs to leading to mistakes, and thus the scouts take on him. The longer the season went the more he pressed. A decent defense and a decent coach around him and the sky is the limit
