*****OFFICIAL 2010 NFL Draft Thread*****

Here we go, all things draft for the next at least 3 days.

I think it's about time I started one of these things, hopefully I'll bring some good luck to the draft so we don't **** this up.

It's not even close to last year's draft. The issue last year was that we reached for several picks including the most important pick in the draft, traded a marquee pick away for an average QB, and we took several guys like Colin Brown and Donald Washington that were beyond raw.

I can see 4 out of our 5 players getting significant playing time right away. Quite possible that Asomoah is on the field within the next few years too.

We didn't waste any picks this year. We can't win without these kinds of "role players" 3 or 4 years down the road when we're playoff-ready.

Setting the franchise back is either completely whiffing on a worthless pick or resting the franchise on a key player at a key position. The Chiefs definitely got a little better--I don't understand how you move backward when the team has moved forward.
We passed on multiple players with legitimate first round talent in order to take two players who are complementary pieces.

That's awesome. We've got spinners on a 93 Cavalier.

One of the most important decisions in the draft coming up for the Lions. Don't screw this up, Detroit. I think we've proven definitively that "Mr. Irrelevant" is a title intended to be bestowed upon a kicker.

I don't like Bradford, but if Bradford works out, the Rams had a ****ing killer draft.

Getting a guy like Hull at the ass end is a great selection.

It's a wrap!

top rounds

Eagles -- seven picks overall, five on defense
Giants -- four picks overall, four on defense
Cowboys -- three picks overall, two on defense
Redskins -- two picks overall, one on defense

I'm ok with this ... Giants defensive line can return to their dominant style of defense and are able to rotate players in and out of the line -- who cares about LBs --

Big IF

... and Talladega rained out

Going back and reading pages 42-45 is comedy ****ing gold.

Amazing how quickly people change their minds.

Really?

An hour goes by, and no one wants to defend themselves?

I can't believe no one has read that post besides Mecca.

It's quite easy moron.

I've followed the draft since the end of the football season...I've read all the mocks, lurked every thread, went to other boards and read things about players...and then on draft day I get to find out all sorts of awesome things about the next generation of NFL players!

So I have all of these prospects in my mind and of course, I wanted the Chiefs to take Clausen at #36 because I think he's going to be a real nice QB...

But when we didn't, I then took a DEEP breath, and said..."well, before I turn the TV off in disgust, I'm going to look into this Dexter McCluster fella and see WHY we took him over a guy like Clausen or a guy like Benn..."

and then I looked at his wiki page...googled his draft tracker...read some comments over at an Ole Miss board...watched some of his highlights...

and then realized...

wow...the Chiefs really envision this guy as their Wes Welker! If you notice, I point that out right away...people were freaking out because they thought we took another Jamaal Charles and it didn't make any sense...

I bet you they had Dexter McCluster as their #1 rated WR on their board...that's a pretty big need for us...and we all know it.

In my eyes, the Chiefs landed two pro bowl caliber players with their first two picks...for some reason you think Sergio Kindle would have been a better pick than McCluster and I'm sorry...Kindle has a much higher bust probability than McCluster...that tape doesn't lie...teams were scared to death of McCluster and he was CLEARLY a top tier player in the SEC...

I'm thrilled we have him.
