How ironic that SI comes out this week with an article on fans. They had the top fans from all four sports in various categories.

Toughest Fans: Bucs
Loudest Fans: Chiefs
Scariest Fans: Raiders
Most Knowledgeable: Packers
Stupidest Fans: Raiders
Best Groupies: Dolphins
Most Loyal: Packers

Also, there was a quote in the article:

"Those idiots in Kansas City dont know when to shut up. They yell even when the Chiefs have the ball. Thats how stupid they are"

How about that? I thought for a second that I was reading my work on the Chiefs Planet!

I know what some of the "brighter" fans will say on here: "Sports Illustrated doesnt know what they are talking about" Unless its something positive about the Chiefs, it isnt valid.

Just remember that this is the same magazine that picked the Chiefs to finish in fourth place this year. I think they know the Chiefs and their fans as well as I do.

CC,

I'm sure that CNNSI had an official IQ test set up for the fans at the gate at Lambeau field. Each fan probably had to answer 3 questions before they could go in.

Q. What's your favorite colors?
A. Green and Yellow

Q. What's your favorite food?
A. Cheese

Q. What is God's first name?
A. Vince(Coach is also acceptable)

Chief fans,

The article is written by Sports Illustrated. Why dont you write those guys to tell them how inaccurate they are. I dont see anyone chanllenging their "loudest fans" assessment, but thats typical from you guys. Believe the positive remarks, ridicule the negative. You guys have never believed negative articles. Jason Whitlock and Kevin Kietzman get no respect from you guys because they tell it like it is. Sporting News said the Chiefs were in need of a rebuilding job and you guys said they were crazy. Well two mediocre seasons later, it looks like they were right. Win a playoff game, keep your stadium filled, and you wont get negative publicity.

The best you guys can do is rip on the metal seats at Lambeau or correct my grammar. Those comments along with the quote from Sports Illustrated reinforce my opinion of the intellect of the average Chief fan.

"Well at least we dont have metal bench seats"

What a pathetic comeback!

Since Packfan seems to get so confused when talking about things tlike this:

fact n. (from the Latin factum) 1. a deed, act or thing that has actually happened or is really true.

truth n. (Middle English treuthe) 1. an established or verified fact, principle, etc. 2. the quality of being in accordance with fact or reality.

opinion n. (from the Latin opinio) a belief not based on absolute certainty or positive knowledge but on what seems to be true, valid or probable in one’s own mind.

Just thought this might help you out.

MM
~~Just giving some facts.

Buccanneer fans are the toughest?

It must be REAL tough to brave 75-80 degree temperatures in December.

Packer fans SHOULD be the most loyal and knowledgable. What the h_ll else is there to do in Green Bay? Those lard as_es would commit suicide if the Packers ever left town.

Whitlock is right on about some of his stuff and totally off the wall on some of it too. He loves to stir the pot & get people riled up, kind of like you. There's nothing to make you satisfied is there? Even if the Chiefs rebuild & win the next few Super Bowls, you'd still point out that Green Bay has loyalest fans and that KC didn't support their team in the 80's. Noone is arguing about the Chiefs fans being the loudest because most here have never been to a louder stadium if there is one. I don't even see you arguing that point.

CNNSI also picked the loyalest fans in other sports.

NBA: Kings
NFL: Packers
NHL: Maple Leafs
MLB: Cardinals

Any team that plays indoors or in California or Florida should be automatically taken out of the running for the "toughest" fans.

This is simply not true. I have been to nearly every game over the last 12 years and we are very good about being quiet when the offense has the ball. I don’t know where the writer gets this from. Who wrote this article anyway? Several other posters have brought this point up, but you continue to avoid addressing it Kennie. Why is that? Maybe because it takes away from the credibility of the writer and his article?? Hmmmm??<BR>

I don't who that quote is from in SI, but I would guess its either Shannon Sharpe or Andre Rison.

Packfan, I saw on CNNSI.com that the most loyal fan designations were voted on by players. Do you know if that's where the rest of those came from?

Toughest fans have to be a tie between the Bears, Vikings, Lions, and Bucs because all four have to deal with a$$hole Packer fans like Ken.

Ken, when you talk about writers telling it like it is, have you ever considered that writers have prejudices and favorites like the rest of us. We all know Whitlock's incessant bashing of Carl and love affair with Jeff George. Do you think maybe this SI writer could possibly be a Packer fan too? I'm not asking for truth, only that there is a possibility. That would be a step in the right direction for you.

Still translating my posts from your other thread, Kenny? I figured the great and knowledgeable Crackfan would have been able to look up all the words by now....

What do I know though, I'm just some idiot Chiefs fan.
