I agree.

If Hermie takes htis team to the playoffs and wins, then he will have shown enough to classify his hiring as an upgrade.

The things he's done to this point are no different than any new HC of a team would do.

I agree that this is a worn out tired subject and doesn't mean shit in the whole sceme of things but this is a well written article IMO. The read doesn't take on the flavor of a childrens book like so many of your others do. I believe it's the first one of yours I kept intrust in and didn't click out near the begining.

This is why I like you so much. You're brutally honest but you're not agendadized. You recognize improvement and aren't afraid to say it even though it's the hated gochiefs.

IMO, the article is well done, I did not notice who had written it. I take exception with some of the content, especially the headline. I find myself doing that with most writers.

Salary cap implications? Edwards didn't give a shit and made a move to BETTER the team. That's what a real coach would do.

Sims played about 20 snaps in that game. Get the hell outta here if you expect me to believe that was his best football. He made, what, a play? Two? Shaddap.

As for your first retort? If you actually think that people view the Chiefs as anything but underachievers, you're not worth the time. Because dude, what the HELL else would they view us as?

5 straight years doing absolute dick, many of them with a top flight offense that couldn't compensate for Vermeil's pathetic defenses.

New Coach = honeymoon period with the GM. Dick was allowed to shit can a lot of Marty/Gunther salary cap dead weight when he started. There was mountains of it, much more than Junior Siavii.

I asked for some evidence of your outlandish generalization ( Fans around the NFL laugh at his tenure and it's a fucking embarrassment)
but I really do not give a **** what you think. You are the epitomy of me wasting my time.

Ok so they were Vermeil's pathetic defenses, when he clearly entrusted them to his DCs. Who built the top flight offense? Remember he did not do dick.

Is that supposed to be some reeruned way of saying Sims didn't play 20-or-so snaps?

I realize Edwards is no offensive genius, but at least the Chiefs coaching staff is on the same page. Everyone sees eye to eye. There’s a groupthink philosophy on Edwards' staff. Everyone’s ego is held in check for the greater good of the team.
Interesting. I've never heard the word "groupthink" used as a good thing.

That depends on which definition you like. I like the first one.

group‧think  /ˈgrupˌθɪŋk/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[groop-thingk] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
1. the practice of approaching problems or issues as matters that are best dealt with by consensus of a group rather than by individuals acting independently;.
2. the lack of individual creativity, or of a sense of personal responsibility, that is sometimes characteristic of group intereaction.

Yeah, I looked it up and it is technically correct to use it the way you did. It's just that I'm a business major, and the version that's been burned into my skull is this one:
