New Year's Resolutions - Page 4

Okay, now that Christmas is over, it's time to focus on New Year's.

Plans? New Year's resolutions?

As for me, no plans yet, and I think it's obvious what one of my resolutions is.

Also just picked up a Columbia Trooper off of Ebay. It should do the trick on our dry lanes.

Resolution one: Eat healthier
How I will accomplish this: I will still go to fast food restaurants, but i'll order a salad for a week or so and put dressing and other fattening things on the salad that make it just as fattening as a cheesburger and fries. Hey, a week or so of that may add five minutes to my life and that may make all the difference.

Resolution two: Join a health club
How I will accomplich this: Join a health club for a month and the first few weeks of January i'll go there. What I will do is be one of many who start the year off this way. Were the ones that take up all the parking spots, ogle the women, occupy the equipment, use it wrong, end up breaking it and causing various other problems for those that are really serious about it and go there all year. You will see me every day the first two weeks then once or twice the rest of the month. Then i'll cancel my membership and you work out buffs can go about your business.

Resolution three: Spend more time with the wife.
How I will accomplish this: I'll clear out a spot on the couch for her and let her watch all the sporting events she wants to with me. If she refuses, hey, thats on her and at least I tried.

Well, I have a friend who is getting married in March. She's going to help me get started in my workout routine. She also works second shift, so we're both off during the day. We're going to meet at 11AM and workout together. We're going to start out with M-W-F, and work our way up to every weekday. I only live 5 minutes away, so it's no problem for me to get up, go work out, come home, shower, and still have a few hours to run errands. Item number one that I am cutting out of my diet is soda. Next month, I will work on something else. I'm geared up. My goal is to look like a totally different person before you all see me at the Planet Bash next year. Think of how much I can lose in 10 months!

My uncle lost 145 pounds by just drinking beer and green beans for a few months. Try it out

Please bro, if you go anywhere, cab it. I won't drive after three beers over the course of dinner in Los Angeles because the fines are so stiff and ridiculous. NYE is always amateur night, regardless of the city.

I never keep my resolutions, so this year they are:

gain 15 pounds of fat,
watch more TV,
avoid all forms of exercise,
and get mad every time I watch the Chiefs play.

My fiance and I are packing up the dogs Friday and heading to Asheville, NC for NYE. They have a celebration that pretty much encompasses the entire downtown area complete with fireworks at midnight. And our hotel is right downtown within walking distance of pretty much anywhere we are planning to go, including a sports bar that will have the Chiefs game on.
