How did you alleviate your frustrations...

...from our soul-crushing, heart-breaking, ass-sucking team's latest epic disaster?

Did you drink yourself into oblivion? Clean out the garage? Kick your dog? Jog 20 miles? Beat a Colts fan to death with a shovel? Bury yourself in a good book? Or are you so masochistic at this point that you've actually learned to enjoy the pain?

Personally, I bought myself a new 20" widescreen computer monitor and lost myself in Neverwinter Nights.

I don't particularly think that Huard would have done any better (well, maybe a little) but I would have liked to see him get a chance. The game was obviously gone with Trent in there. Herm had his chance to show me that he really did want to win the game...

Oh, and as far as venting - I didn't really. I was hoping for a good performance but not really expecting a win. I was embarassed by our offense but that was kind of offset by the way our D played.

Luckily I kept my attitude going in that this was not a play-off team and had my expectations very low,it seriously helped in feeling no pain about the loss but it didn't stop me from shouting at the tv numerous times and unleashing a wrath on Herm for throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the Jags and yet making me sit through this crap.

I was at a party with 15 others and I was drinking 7 & 7 so by the 4th quarter my tirades were fairly frequent.I spent the rest of the evening and early morning going to a second party and getting absolutely shitfaced. The only redeeming thing about this weekend is that my play-off fantasy teams did rather well seeing I avoided all Chiefs players except LJ.

I'm also stoked about next weekend,it may not be KC football but it's football and I'm going to catch every last minute I can before that long off season kicks in.

I was more than halfway expecting the results so I remained surprisingly mellow. I had to work Saturday so I set the DVD to record the game since I knew I would get home about half-way through it. I walked in, heard the announcer say that the Chiefs had 21 TOTAL yards while the Colts had 22 first downs - went in the bedroom, turned off the recorder, and calmly sat through the rest of the slaughter.

I had some major disappointment, but I realize that this is a sporting event and that I need to watch it, enjoy it and let it go. When you don't enjoy it you have to let it go quicker or you may become an alcoholic, based on some of the responses here.

I ran 3 miles. Then the next day I ran again. I'm going to do it again tonight. I'm going to keep doing it.

To be honest I do that every day anyway.

Oh, and I wrote the Temporary Team Finder and became a Titans fan.

I pretty much bitched about the fact that the gamplan sucked ass.

I also pretty much bitched about the fact that we're all pretty much ****ed for the next two years, as long as Carl and Herm is around.

I was only about 2 hours early at the bar for the game. Drunk by kickoff. Really drunk by 2nd half kickoff. I think I played some pool & darts somewhere in there. Ended up at home drinking until about 3am. Then I suddenly realized that I had kids to pick up at 8am, so I got me a piece of the wife and passed out.

Sunday sucked ass......

Just went out to dinner with the family afterwards and tried to remember the simple things in life. When i was younger, i would have probably punched holes in the walls...but ive matured as ive gotten older. (I will admit when Tynes missed that gimmie FG, i about threw my bottle of water through the TV)

Remember the pass Dante dropped, about a 5 yarder that would have been a first down assuming if he'd caught it he wouldn't have turned around and run toward his own end zone?

That was the moment where I lost it. It was like the Christmas Story scene where the kid starts beating up the bully and the f-bombs are flowing forth. That was me. When that ball just sort of bounced off Dante it all came out.....MFing, CSing, whore bitch sonofapig bastard!!!!! etc, etc.

After that I calmed down a bit, I was resigned to the inevitable outcome. Sure, there were a few moments of false hope but deep down I knew it was over. So I made a Bloody Mary and eventually the anger just melted away to sadness.

If you're interested, he is the recipe for a C***S***ing, M*****F***ing Whore Bloody Mary.

20 oz glass
1/2 lemon
Celery salt
Worcestershire
Tabasco
Snap-e-Tom spicy tomato juice
Clamato
Vodka

Fill 20 oz glass about 3/4 with ice. Squeeze in juice of 1/2 lemon. Season with celery salt, worcestershire and tabasco, to taste. Pour in about 1/3 each vodka, tomato and clamato. Mix well with a larger glass or shaker cup.

Garnish with celery or throw at TV, to taste. Enjoy!!
