****Official Apology Thread*****

It's time for everyone to own up.

Did you give Whitlock shit for making up the Egoli stuff? It's mea culpa time.

Did you defend the Cassel trade and contract? Own up.

Did you excuse the Tyson Jackson pick? It's time to pay the piper.

Did you claim McCluster was Wes Welker/Devin Hester? Accept your lashings.

Did you excuse 2009 as an evaluation year? Confess your sins

Did you absolve Pioli of his coaching hires? Prostrate yourself.

Did you make the argument that Pioli was beyond reproach because he's the GM, former executive of the decade? It's time to eat shit.

Let he who is without sin throweth the first rock. And I shalt smoketh it.

------------------------------------------------------------

This space is reserved for my apology in thinking Vernon Gholston was an elite NFL pass rusher and Jimmy Clausen could be a franchise QB. Near Pioli levels of fail.

He is a racist piece of shit. Adds very little value in anything related to sports or the Chiefs.. When qouted as gospel, credibility takes a hit.
Did you defend the Cassel trade and contract? Own up. Threw a huge freaking fit, wanted Sanchez.
Did you excuse the Tyson Jackson pick? It's time to pay the piper.
Didnt know what to think, wanted BPA or impact player.
Did you claim McCluster was Wes Welker/Devin Hester? Accept your lashings. Stoked about Dexter, loved the pick. Now must face the music.
Did you excuse 2009 as an evaluation year? Confess your sins Anytime you take over for Herm you get a free pass for one year.
Did you absolve Pioli of his coaching hires? Prostrate yourself. Sick of this coaching staff.. And if I remember correctly it was a decent hire at first.
Did you make the argument that Pioli was beyond reproach because he's the GM, former executive of the decade? It's time to eat shit. I dont think this highly of my opinion on a message board to be this big of a prick.

I would bet real high they won't be drafting a QB first round this year, real high.
I would be pleasantly surprised if they do though, but I would also be pleasantly surprised if I win the lottery, and I don't buy tickets.

everything i've heard on the radio today is that Pioli has been undermining Haley in the press for two years and wanted to fire him last year

I don't ever remember denying that Pioli exercised a super-sized ego.

I don't view that as THE REASON the Haley hire was poor. Nor do I view it as a necessarily bad trait.

I did not.

Yes I did. I actually defended the 2009 draft for the most part.

Tyson Jackson has been a pretty good LDE for us, but he will never justify the #3 pick. I don't think I believed it at the time, either, but my hope in Pioli was a lot larger than it is now.

For the record, and I hope OTW and others can remember, BJ Raji was the pick I wanted there.

I expected more Sproles than anybody else. I didn't like the pick, period.

I will say, however, that I overestimated his speed from the time I saw him at Ole Miss was his speed. He's clearly very quick, but he lacks speed. And he is only effective when the rest of the offense is clicking.

I did, but because of the circumstances. 2009 was clearly a tutorial on how not to transition a franchise.

His coaching hires haven't been that bad. Weis and Crennel worked out, it's not necessarily Pioli's fault Haley drove Weis off.

The Haley hire was clearly the questionable one of the bunch. I throw that in with Pioli's utter lack of preparation during that 2009 offseason.

I believe no one is beyond reproach.

But Pioli's job has been to assemble talent for this team, including coaching, and maximize the talent once we've acquired it.

Our QB position is still a mess.
Our RB position has improved since he's been here, but not thanks to him.
Our WR corps has definitely improved.
Our OL corps has definitely improved, though it's still a weakness.
Our DL corps has definitely improved, though it's still a weakness.
Our LB corps has definitely improved.
Our secondary has definitely improved.

His last two drafts have been very strong. And his free angencies have been very underwhelming, but have followed his philosophy, which at this point dictates that be the case. He's landed us some contributors through free agency anyway, just no game-changers. Again, that's a philosophical disagreement more than it is a criticism of execution.

Only thing i ever said was that they were going to use McCluster in a Wes Welker type role. T hey did try, and it didnt work.

The only thing i despise them for is qb Matt Cassel. The rest wouldnt look to bad if we had a qb worth a ****.
