This. He kind of comes off as a non-informed bandwagon fan for BOTH sides. No real depth, just OMG DID YOU HEAR HOW AWESOME THIS GUY IS?!!??!!!

I don't HATE him, but I wish they'd at least vary the announcing teams a little bit just to get some variety.

I'll give you that, once Buck thinks he's found the story of the game, whether its something that highlights the Royals or the other team, he'll stubbornly hang on to it like a dog with his favorite chew toy.

Mike Greenberg does this. He takes some side issue, makes it seem like the most important topic in the world, and beats it to death. Meanwhile completely ignoring more interesting subjects.

I thought he was outstanding last night.... I watched the entire game (except with MLB International had the call) on MUTE last night...

It sucked cause I want to hear the crowd, etc... But if I have a choice between Joe Buck or silence, I take silence every time.

His boner for rookies is absurd. In the past Brandon Backe was Cy Young. Last year it was a complete balls deep on Panik...and EVERY AB he had to say "the outstanding rookie" Panik. This year it is "future superstar" Camponoro or whatever that turds name is. Who the **** cares if a guy is getting postseason ABs as a "rookie" if he's hitting under .100

Joe Panik made the best defensive play of the 2014 WS last year in game 7, by diving headlong for Hosmer's ground ball up the middle in the 3rd with nobody out.
Not only did he get to it, he flipped it with his glove to 2nd and Crawford, (after a review and the first reversal in WS a history) turned it into a double play. That play took the wind out of the sails as the Royals managed on one hit in the next 5 innings.


Joe Panik is a big game, big play stud.
