I don't know where else to put this...

I want to see the all-22 of the Smith pick. From what I saw live, it looked like had he not been whacked, he would have hit Maclin for a TD.

IIRC, it also felt to me that Hill was in the area, and could have had a shot at making a play on the ball. Was it late awareness on his part, or ws the INT truly unavoidable after Smith threw as hit?

I saw the same. If he had .3 seconds more time to get the throw off, that was a td. Other than that play, the O-line had one of their best games of the year. Denver's defense looked like a shadow of themselves.

Pretty sure most Alex haters hate him because he plays like shit.

When Alex plays well, there is no reason to hate. He played well last night and I hope he keeps it up.

But that's the problem with Alex. He does just well enough to show you what he COULD be... then he goes back into his shell and plays like a pussy.

Please please please keep getting better Alex Smith (and Andy Reid).

Winner. Not to mention it's just a repeat of the 90s over again with 49er retreads. You always have the typical Chiefs homers, no biggie there, but combined that with the jackass fan bois from the 49ers right after we just dealt with 4 years of Patriot jackasses.

I completely understand this point of view.

However, for me, I dont agree with it.

I personally am more on the view of Alex that he gives 2 shits about stats. Literally. I remember that interview with him where he said at the begging of his career, during games, he was asking how many yards he was at, what was his passer rating etc... He said it wasnt until he said F all that, that he really excelled. And again, I think he has excelled from this standpoint. Alex is going to do exactly what it takes to win a game.. If it will take 20 runs and 5 passes to seal the game in the 2nd half, thats what hes gonna do, and hes not gonna care about getting more than the 150-200 yards he threw at half... If we played alot of games like we did in the 1st half, realistically alex would be tossing for over 4,000 yards EVERY season no matter what, but he doesnt play for those stats. Now the biggest counter to this is he needs to be able to turn up the heat when it matters, and FOR ME he always has done that. Any time we need to start scoring, he produces, or when we need to sling it when the other team is torching our defense, he does the same.

He was on a go route probably running full speed.

The ball was horribly underthrown.

He's 5'10".

I'd like to see the all-22 on that one.

Looked like the safety undercut it so I'm not sure there was another one deep past where Maclin was. If there wasn't that ball should have come out a lot sooner.
