Possibly Racist Facebook Marketplace Question

So, I am about as left as possible. I don't care what any of you say or think about liberals. No offense meant by that.

I am looking for a new car for my daughter who is a junior at NWMST. I have been looking on Facebook Marketplace, and there are so many cars posted by people with Latino and Middle Eastern sounding last names, and they often have several cars listed, but don't appear to be advertising on behalf of a dealership.

Why? Are these postings legitimate? Maybe I am crazy, but I was just browsing and out of 20 cars I looked at, not a single one was posted by a regular sounding American or European name. There were no Smiths, which is the most common last names in the United States. There were no Johnsons, or Jones, Williams, or Browns, Jacksons, or Andersons, etc. Instead there were Acosta, Hasanin, Mrayyan, Rangel, Valdez, etc. It just strikes me as strange that most of these people also have multiple vehicles listed for sale,without the appearance of being a car dealer.

So, being the left of the middle person that I am, I feel sorta bad about asking this question, like I am judging people by their race based on their last name, but I think Chiefsplanet has a diverse group members with no shortages of opinions, and with knowledge in many different areas.

So, can anyone answer the questions? Since I haven't posted since last year, and haven't visited in a few months, there may be some new protocols I am breaking, or more additions to the lexicon I should be siting. I mean, I just looked through some threads and didn't see a single your and idiot, or antifreeze, or aids tree referenced.

For the tl;rd crowd, why are so many people with foreign sounding names selling multiple cars on Facebook Marketplace?

I have a GT Mustang year 2000 it runs just put a new steering column in there a little TLC but a good car hole in the soft top but everything else works fine. Everything else is fine I am not going no lower than 1200 because I need the space you can come look at it or whatever it's a real good ass car I just need space just trying to get rid of it got another car.....IT HAS TO BE TOWED THE ANTI THEFT LIGHT IS ON CUZ I PUT AN NEw steering column inso you have to call a lock smith and have them come and reset my new key to the car wich is 120 they said and its a tear in the drop top that is the ONLY THING WRONG WITH IT ...NO LOWER ITS. A GOOD CAR CLEAN TITLE

I just sold my old van through a facebook sell group this morning. Now, I don't trust the marketplace as a whole because there's no one restricting or kicking out the scammers. We've got a couple decent sales groups around here though that we buy and sell from pretty often. We actually bought my wife's new SUV off of it a month ago.

Just tell the Middle Eastern seller that you are a fargha barmil. They will understand and give you a good deal on the sale of the car...

I had a few Indian buddies who ran a gas station near the GSP Dining Hall, where I'd work in Lawrence.

They would often buy the cars from Indian Nationals who graduated KU and were returning home. Often these cars were six figure cars bought by the students' parents and subsequently written off.

My friends would buy these cars for 30K cash and then re-sell them and get a massive, massive profit.

It was a pretty swell setup.

Last week I went into a bad part of st Joe and sold an Xbox 360 to this black guy. He had an impala 2 kids the thing seemed sketchy but he sat down with me and played video games and talked NBA forever. Be careful but sometimes being stupid is fun

Meh.. in the current political climate in the USA, "as far left as possible" for most people really just means a centrist moderate with absolutely no real opinions about anything. Just my 2 cents.
