Chiefs can't just win the game they need to make a statement. The bengals defense is Dick Vermeil-bad and their offense is predicated on prayer balls. The Chiefs should go into this game with the mentality that they will dominate a bad team that's playing for draft picks. If the score is at all close then the Chiefs are going to get embarrassed in the playoffs. If by some chance the Chiefs lose to this heinous team -- at home -- then it's truly the end of an era and I would expect Clark Hunt to make changes at GM. That was bad defense on Christmas? WTF were you watching? The Raiders defense has been very good lately and their edge rushers are as good as any in the league. Our tackles haven’t been abused that badly in a long time.

If they lose an existential game to the worst defense in football than who do you blame? The poor bastards coaching the positions? Naggy (what does he even do)? Or the architect that traded away the best weapon on the team and replaced him with this merry gang of rejects and a woeful offensive line? I'm pissed. Chiefs may never have this opportunity again (unicorn franchise QB) and they're squandering it. And if they can't make the playoffs that's a major indictment and the end of an era in my mind. But that probably won't happen because I still think Andy Reid can scheme the offense to take advantage of both of these teams and the defense can make stops.
