I've quit posting on the old board, but still look in from time to time. Still seems like the hot topic over there (and there sure aren't many of them) is the great defection.

For entertainment value only, you should read the latest post of one of my favorite narcissistic gasbags, Roger Garrett. To summarize, he rips all of us for coming over here, totally tees off on JOhn(?), knocks the new board, relishes in taking credit for driving us away, and has the unmitigated gaul to complain about someone else putting up too many posts!

Certainly not Blazing Saddles, but it made me chuckle. Glad I broke away.

I might alienate both boards and end up without a home, but this needs to be said. If nothing else, I may single-handedly end the feuding by giving you all a single target to dislike.

It’s pretty ugly on both boards.

On KC.COM we have variations on the “Don’t let screen door hit you” and “We few, we happy few” speeches. Those who left are ________ [insert insult here: pompous, conceited, so forth] and those who remain are _________ [insert complement here: loyal, steadfast, so forth].

On CHIEFSPLANET.COM we have variations on the “Can you believe how the old BB has gone downhill”and “I sure hope __________ [insert least-favorite BB citizen here] doesn’t come over here” posts. Those who left are __________ [insert compliment here: brave, courageous, so forth] and those who remain are ___________ [insert insult here: pathetic, glory-seekers, so forth].

It is sad that this has to be an adversarial thing. However, there will be no end to it until the sniping stops. That includes wistful “lawnmower” parables and “good riddance” comments as well as “free at last” and “psst, guess what they’re doing back home” ridicule.

Everyone claims to want to move on, but simply cannot resist that last little dig at the “enemy.” If you truly want to move on, then just shut up. No more clever digs, no more “I shall take the high ground” speeches, no more “yeah, buts.” Just stop it. Now.

There is no high moral ground to be had, so you might as well stop scrambling for it.

xoxo~

This is my home board now. I do not look back. I don't care what they say. It is to each his own said the lady that kissed the cow. I have nothing against the people on the other board, I find better conversations that suit me here. I read a lot more of them than I participate in. I want to talk some football!!!!! Something to talk about it right around the corner!!

I am guilty as charged....

But I plead being human as a character fault that condemns me to defend myself beyond necessity. It is not a good defense, but the best I can come up with.

I post on both boards because I enjoyed all the people...I'm biboardal...but spend most of my time here. Some of the people over there have taken the leave as personal I do believe and it has become more of a "thing" than I ever thought it would.I do not always agree with Denise and I believe she has painted herself in a corner but I do not wish any ill well towards her....she and I were two of the first females that remained on this board so I guess I feel sort of a commradory with her...however I don't understand getting irritated with people for coming over here and posting.I do wish we could of all gotten along...but I too was real tired of the trolls and sometimes when I logged on and saw them I'd decide what's the use....I like this BB and I don't think it's going to go away.
