Well, I've now got a fairly active board for every team... this went way better than I anticipated. I still think there has to be a better Cowboys forum, for instance. That one I listed is pretty good but there are a ton of Cowboys fans out there, you'd think they'd have a busy board.

I'm still stunned by the size of that Saints forum... there are still 327 users online, looking around I guess their record was 845 active users on draft day this past year... looks like we have some work to do here to catch up. The odd part is that they've really got their site divided up into numerous boards for different topics like Saints talk, the war and terrorism, video games, music, etc...

That board ROCKS. It's so much better than ChiefsPlanet. I aspire to have a board that smooth. I posted there for a while last fall. One of their mods is the guy who did an entire week of Joe Delaney articles for a newspaper in La.

Wow, you're not kidding! I just checked in over there--332 on-line at 11:00pm (EST), compared to ChiefsPlanet's 55.

Well, that's a bit misleading. They have their "online" settings bumped way up. I'm sure their software is counting a guy that hit the board for 2 minutes this morning. The traffic isn't quite as fast as ChiefsPlanet, but it's still an impressive board. If I spent 20 seconds in our control panel, I could make it look like we have 300 people online at 11:00 as well.

Ahh, I see. They're tweaking the numbers. Thanks!--My sense of reality is somewhat restored now...and you're right--It is an impressive BB, nonethe less...

I don't know, it says "Currently Active Users"... even so, they have like 200 members signed in.

Same setting. If I duplicated that setting at ChiefsPlanet and gochiefs hit the site at 9:00 AM this morning, he would still be showing "Active" tonight. Watch the traffic on the front page for a few minutes. It's not half as fast as the Planet.

Oh yeah, I believe that, I said that earlier on in the thread when I first noticed that board and said something to the effect that they seemed to have more members but less traffic...

Thanks for the link, that's not quite as busy as the one I have up there for the Cowboys. That board you just linked has some week old topics on the front page. The CowboysZone board I have on the list is active enough to pretty much have topics that have all been replied to today on the front page, it's not bad, I just figured there might be something a little better out there.

Just move this thread to Hall of Classics or Geeksplanet or something, so its easy to find. It is a good resource. Actually, this should be a stand-alone page that is linked on the front page of CP.
