He's really done a great job of embracing the job and city in just a short amount of time. Has a mix of Mellinger's sarcastic side, with Poz's knowledge of the game. And has obviously done his research on the team's history

I hope Sveum's tutoring has an effect on the team being able to hit left handed pitchers. Tonight's pitcher, Smyly, is a lefty. The Royals have six players that bat significantly worse against lefties vs righties. Sadly, one player that bats a lot better against lefties, Aoki, probably won't be playing. His replacemnt, Dyson, is batting .315 against Right handed pitching and .214 against Left handed pitching. In Omaha, Maxwell is currently hitting .455 against lefties. Could the Royals make a move to bring Maxwell up to platoon with Dyson until Aoki can play again?

Andy McCullough is such a huge upgrade from Bob Dutton, it isn't funny.

It's like the gap between James Shields and Jonathan Sanchez.

Funny side note of the morning:

If you haven't watched the Brewers' ad encouraging fans to vote for Lucroy for the All-Star Game, do yourself a favor and watch it now.

Now that you've watched it (and laughed), go to MLB.com/Vote and vote for Lucroy. Unless you want to see another Cardinal in the All-Star game.

I voted. No Cardinals because I don't think any of them deserve to be a starter this year, but they'll probably still be there like Jeter will be at SS.

American League
1B - Pujols, Albert - LAA
2B - Kinsler, Ian - DET
SS - Escobar, Alcides - KC
3B - Donaldson, Josh - OAK
C - Perez, Salvador - KC
OF - Bautista, Jose - TOR
OF - Gordon, Alex - KC
OF - Trout, Mike - LAA
DH - Cruz, Nelson - BAL

National League
1B - Goldschmidt, Paul - ARI
2B - Rendon, Anthony - WAS
SS - Castro, Starlin - CHC
3B - Frazier, Todd - CIN
C - Lucroy, Jonathan - MIL
OF - Gomez, Carlos - MIL
OF - Morse, Michael - SF
OF - Upton, Justin - ATL

Here's a fun fact...

Royals are the first team in MLB History to score most runs off Cy Young winners in back to back games: 17ER/10IP

I like your AL ballot and we're pretty similar (my picks in bold/ital).

Your NL ballot, though... was surprised to see McCutch, Tulo and Stanton left off.
