With Frankcamp, Greene, Selden, and Mason all coming in as freshmen... This is easily the best collection of shooters in one class that KU has had that I can remember... All 4 can shoot very well, Mason, Selden, and Fran can score in a variety of ways outside of pure shooting as well.

This is just taking into account the shooting.

Haven't even mentioned the 7 footer.

This class has me giddy.

What a tragedy. Up 8 with 1:15. If literally anything differently happens we advance. EJ was the pos that I always said he was and he killed us tonight in every fashion of the game. Fun fact: Tharpe held Burke to 4 points while others gave up 17. Why Releford wasn't on him late or in OT ill never know.


This tourney was winnable. There's always next year but we will never see another shotblocker like Jeff or a talent like Ben. We are seriously rebuilding next year like 2006 so I guess I'll look for 2015 as our next realistic chance for a Final Four. I don't blame Self much because I can't think of much I'd have done differently. Burke hits a step back 28 footer with Young lunging at him.....that's a high five Trey. It was Memphis 2008 in reverse tonight.

If you can stomach watching the replay you will noticed EJ tackling #4 as Burke was hitting the tying 3. It looked me to be a foul. KU was lucky Michigan was not shooting free throws to win the game in regulation.

KU definitely should have fouled up 3. What can you say though? This is exactly like the '08 National Championship game KU won. Down 3 scores late, clutch 3, win in OT.....it all evens out.

no. We were up 3. A foul there would have been great (much better than a 3 by Burke obviously).

I was screaming for the foul. Too many times now, the 3 is hit, and coaches second guess themselves (ask coach cal)
