I wanted to throw shit at the TV last night.

By the time we get Wainwright back it may be too late. There isn't a single pitcher in our alleged bullpen I have ANY confidence in at all.

as I said the Carp/Wainwright savior ride in better happen quick, everybody else has to hold it together (and that is NOT happening). Again timely hit didn't come with 2 outs

We are only a 1 game back in the wild card. And we all know the Cubs always choke. 16 out of 22 games on the road to end the year will give them plentyof oppertunity.

What about wellemeyer in the bullpen instead of Wainright? We need a good starter too. He seems to work better with short outings. His fastball comes in at 95 sometimes. Good slider and off speed stuff.

I wish we'd have made a move for another reliever. Wellemeyer would help, but again, there's nobody else.

Rumor has it that the Rockies wanted Anderson and Garcia or Todd for Fuentes. Would you make that trade?

I don't know. But it seems that even a mediocre reliever would be preferable to the batting practice tossing fuckstains infesting our bullpen at the moment. I don't spend hours scouting every other team that's selling, but Christ, I refuse to believe they couldn't find ANYBODY for the right price.

from what John Mo said it sounded like deals were really one sided.... alot like buying a hybrid now. way over invoice.

It was a sellers market and we were buying. You saw the published deals done for bull pen help. Teams outrageously overpaid for bull pen help.

It was wise to wait until the off season. We have outfielders to move, a potential all star catcher in the minors to move and lots of salary will be gone. We will reload and make a legitamate run next year.

That was a rough game to lose last night. Not scoring with the bases loaded and less than 2 outs twice in the late innings was tough to take. Lidge is a monster especially when it comes to inexperienced hitters. He just carved op Stav and Mather with ease.

Yes it was. I nearly turned it off after the bullpen blew yet another late inning lead to make it 5-2, but remembered how often the offense had come back late to steal a game. They had every opportunity to win the game after the blown save, but just couldn't get it done. Lidge was on the ropes, but he has the ability to whiff any hitter he faces.

Ya know i still cant get over Fuentes. I used to play little league ball with him. He was always pretty good, but i didnt think MLB good, but the guy made it. ITs pretty cool. I played with a Major Leaguer'! lol

Anyways. Manny's coming to town!
