I get what you're saying, but in my opinion they're all huddled up in the same grouping of NFL QBs until one of them proves they are consistently great and their teams win in the playoffs.

you can't judge a QB on wins in the playoffs alone. he's just a part of that equation. by that logic dan marino would be significantly inferior to jim kelly.

What happened in 2008? LT fell off the map, their team struggled and they won a weak AFCW at 8-8. In 2008, Cutler had nice stats... the team as a whole sucked. Cutler threw for more than 4500 yds, 25 TDs and 18 INTs... too high on the INTs. Cassell threw for nearly 3700 yds, 21 TDs and 11 INTs. Very nice stats with a much better team in a tougher division and they didn't advance with 11 wins. Rivers had just over 4,000 yards... 34 TDs and only 11 INTs - very very good season and he was the reason they won for the most part. It was Rivers' 5th season and he broke out with the best year statistically that he has had in SD. Cutler was in his 3rd season in 2008... so, he's in the same developmental learning curve that Rivers has progressed through at this point in their careers. So, I'm not concerned at all about his upside. The Broncos have a lot of talent on offense and I like the future with Cutler.

Ok, but people are wanting to do that with regular season success... my whole point is that it is a team deal, but as we all know the blame and success falls to the HC and the QB.

Cutler never had a winning season in college and he hasn't had a winning season in the NFL.

2009 is his 3rd full year as 'the starting QB'... I like the future.

Once again agreed. Cassel won't have the WR's he had in NE, no one can argue that. But even if you only believe Cassel is a "system QB"(and I'm not saying this is your argument-but it is mine)he is going to be playing in that same system. Time will tell. The season will be a lot more exciting. All of this being said right now Cutler is in the better spot, even if Cassel picks up right where he left off he won't have half the line or any where near the weapons he had in NE. Unless of course you guys are willing to do Pioli a favor and give us a certain WR for a second rounder, ha ha.

Ha! I would like to keep the DEN offense as it is... only adding to it, not subtracting.
I think KC has a hell of a QB in the making, once they get the system set and the players upgraded at a few spots... look out. KC and Denver are on the road to improvement, SD will be good again and Oakland... well, who knows. I like the directions that our two teams seem to be going, I would like to see the AFCW once again be dominant.
