What worries me about *gag* the R aiders, is the offense. Poopoo it all you want but they have Moss, Porter and Curry as well as a bonafide RB. Their O line is also decent if not spectacular. Collins may not be the end all and be all but the dude can throw a deep ball (which coincidentally is Moss' strong point).

Their D is what is going to be their Achilles heel this year. They are going to be like KC version 2002-2004. Score a lot of points, hope like hell the other team don't score more. The AFCW is going to be INTENSELY competitive this year.

They sort of remind of the Rams with all their talent at wide out. I can't remember but how many times has the Rams beat us since they went to St. Louis?

No. Norv Turner has never been all that good. Moss and Porter are an elite tandem, and Lamont Jordan should be at least an average quality NFL back. I like the QB fine, especially with the deep ball, but their OLine sucks ass, which is going to hurt everything they try to do.

Their defense is under a young coordinator (Ryan) in only his second yard as a DC. His first year was spent mucking around with a 3-4 that failed abysmally, and now he's switching back to 4-3, using some players who are wonderfully suited for that role.

Their DLine is yet another year old, and not particularly more talented, their LBs not very good, and their secondary spotty.

So no, not much to fear here. Mediocre head coach and offensive and defensive lines equals nothign to worry about.

I'm looking forward to my boys dismantling them a week from today.

I'm somewhat afraid of the Rai ders off the field. I'd hate to get caught in the middle of a drug deal gone bad or something.

You should talk about hopes being dashed? We have owned your crappy thuggish "team" at a rate of 2 to 1 since 1990. When residing in a glass house, one shouldn't throw stones..........btw, if you guys want to practice and/or play in the Coliseum, just call 1 Arrowhead Drive. We'll lend the keys to you at a nominal fee.

Didn't know they gave out trophies for a head to head play for the selective window of the 90's. Maybe you could post those shiny objects for all to see.

But I understand your dilemma… when you have nothing to show you gotta go with what you got….

But if you want to compare awards for things that really count in football… you are not even in the same league.

Who needs a trophy for head-to-head,the pleasure of knowing it chaps Davis' ass to no end is all a Chiefs fan needs.

Yeah, your team is great! Let's see... since 1990... 15 years, 30 games, 20:10 ratio... so your team is 10 wins ahead, correct? No? Oh... well, maybe that's because you forgot the first 30 years. What was the win loss ratio like from 1960-1989?

I'll remember your advice about glass houses. Did you think that up all by yourself?

Actually, by my count it's a 22-8 ratio since 1990.

Add that to a 23-34-2 record from 1960 through 1989, and we end up with the Chiefs being 45-42-2 against the Raid ers. Clearly, the Chiefs are the better team.

CBS Sportsline thinks you should fear the Raiders:

Gridiron Guru: Riding on the QB-go-round

Tom Schmidt: Who would be your selection between these three quarterbacks: Marc Bulger, Kerry Collins or Michael Vick?

G.G.: Collins has a chance to be one of the top five quarterbacks in Fantasy Football this season and is the best option. The veteran has a list of weapons that include LaMont Jordan, Randy Moss, Jerry Porter and Ronald Curry at his disposal, and the Raiders will throw the ball downfield a ton.

Furthermore, the defenseless AFC West will offer little resistance to what has a chance to rival the Colts as the best offense in the league. His value falls a bit in leagues that penalize points for interceptions, but overall it's hard to pass on Collins.

Fear? Hell no.

The way you attack the Raider's offense is to rush the hell out of Collins. Mr. Happy Feet will start spraying the ball all over the field as he has every other year of his career. If we sit back and play conservatively, we will get carved up.

Our offense should dominate their defense.

I only fear the The Raiders may get some on our stadium and I'm not sure if we can clean it off.

How did eye patch get so many good rep points in 176 posts? Do we have some closet raider fans lurking around here? I think this needs a full investigation followed by strict banishment and firing squad for anyone giving good rep to raiders. Whats next Chiefs and Bronco fans holding hands and taking long walks together. Osama marrying one of the Bush twins and being George's son in law. Someone restore order in this world.
