I can understand that on all fronts, from the msg board to me being a "new" guy on the board.

But I've watch the Chiefs the past 13 years like a lot of you. Sometimes a lot longer! But so far Herm has impressed me w/ the moves he's willing to make and the overhauling that we're seeing from the past year, and this year.

I hate the fact the high octane offense is gone. I loved it, and loved watching it. But there's something more appealing to having a complete F#@% you shut down offense. At least to me.

And I think the Cheifs are getting there.

we have young QB's developing as well as a journeyman who is ready to prove himself, a HB that's in his prime, Two very good and young DE (though we'll see how long Allen will stick around) some great LB's now. Two veteren CB's and a young and impressive DB's.

It could be a whole lot worse!

This would be wonderful. A true rebuilding year and a Top 5 draft position in '08. I would be okay with this. I see our D improving to Top 10 and our O continuing to sink in the rankings.

So what week do you think you will quit on the Chiefs this year? I bet you last 7 or 8.

I'm dreaming of a quit after our first loss.

For him anyway...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Nice Post new guy...... don't let the sinicism of this place get to you. Many people can be pessimistic here but trust me, if the chiefs have a good year they will be very happy!

Why even bother following a team if you think they have no chance at winning. It's not like the Chiefs are the Lions or even the Raiders!!!

Granted KC has been hit or miss the past few years. But c'mon! Have some faith!

It's a new year. S*%^ happens!
What I like most about this is the widespread realistic view of the Chiefs, sure we have our homers but they are not as predominant as on other BBs.

Nice work. Yours is a very plausible scenario. I think the team will need a couple of good drafts before they can play with the mindset that Herm wants to bring. You know, the "we are going to beat you with skill, not tricky formations and what-not."

I hope when the boos start to trumpet down out of the red and gold seats, Herm is able to stick to his guns and keep the younger players on the field.

It was pointed out earlier in this thread that Logical was one win short in his 2005-06 prediction.
