C'mon, frazod - why would you give credence to something Kevin Kietzman has said without any verification whatsoever? I know you're upset about MU getting snubbed and I don't blame you, but KK has a history of undue sensationalism and loves to hate on KU.

KK just loves starting shitstorms between KU/MU and KU/KSU. Then again, I wouldn't expect less from that tool.

Good Grief, If it means so much for MU fans to go to the Orange Bowl ......... GO ! Go ahead and GO, KU will welcome the support of the quality Big 12 fans in Miami.

Again folks,Personally, I wish KU had been in the Cotton Bowl, I personally think it is a better chance to recruit some more Texas talent.

But that is just me........

Your right KU needs some more 4th teir players from Texas, I think MU has the best deal going to the Cotton, playing on New Years Day, better game, favored to win, will be able to recurit more top teir players, its a big win for MU.

You can't blame KU in this whole mess or at least I don't...they did all they could do to get a BCS bowl & got one.

I do think it's funny how everyone is saying KU is now a joke eventhough I think KU does deserve a BCS bowl.

It will all work out in MU's favor though....just watch how the final rankings look on January 8th. It's all good.

I think a week of Mizzou love in Dallas will payoff handsomely come February 2008 & beyond.

I don't see a real difference in what bowl either team ends up in. Both teams exceeded expectations for this season and should be happy to be playing in New Year's day bowl games. The BCS has always been garbage, but that's nothing new. It is a downer on the sport to never really have a true champion that everyone agrees on like college basketball does, but that's the way it's always been(unfortunately).

It will be a welcome thing for me to be able to wake up on New Years day, shake off my hangover and actually have a rooting interest in a bowl game for a change.

Spot the eff on. Rep.

As a KU fan, after the loss to MU, I thought the Holiday Bowl was within reach. Anything else was just gravy. I'm simply happy to have one more game to watch.

The BCS is nonsense and has nothing to do with pinning up the "best" teams (even in the National Championship, IMO). MU is actually in the better position; go down to Tejas, anally abuse Arkansas on national TV, show the nation you were slighted, use as a great recruiting tool.

KU has all the pressure on them to live up to their bowl bid.

The biggest difference is that MU will likely win their bowl game, and KU will likely get the shit pounded out of them. Missouri will end the season ranked in the top five, and KU will fall to the late teens.

MU Winning their bowl game will help them get a high ranking in next season's initial polls. In the messed up world of college football, that initial ranking actually matters since it gives those ranked teams a leg up over unranked teams.

Also, scoreboard.

What about Illinois who is already in the teens and playing, arguably, one of the three best teams in the country?

This talk is meaningless if both KU and MU lose. I hope all the Big 12 teams win their bowl games. The Big 12 table run means great things for the heartland.

Meanwhile, I'm living to be buried before the Roos play in March.
